Help needed to add a book to a series

I own a series of detective stories which belong to the Haagse Mysterie Reeks
One of those books Moord in miniatuuralready existied in GR, but not as part of the series. (BTW the series name didn't exist either)

What I did:

1. I create a new series Haagse Mysterie Reeks
2. I add Moord in miniatuur
3. I save the series page
4. I added a second book of the series in GR "Rafels aan de Franje" (when I do a search on this title it doesn't show up)
5. I went back to Moord in miniatuur page and clicked on the series name
6. I clicked edit on the series page and added the second book (at that moment it showed up doing a search)
7. I save the series page.

Now I have added a third book in the series in GR "Vampiers van Valkenbos" (search on the title doesn't gave any result)
I have tried on the series page to add the book, but the search pop up gives no result.
I don't know what to do. Can any one explain this to me?
Can it be a problem that the series of books doesn't have ISBN#, as they were published between 1959-1969.
When I follow the link of the author Pim Hofdorp I find all three books.

1. Go to the display page for the series either from the author page or from one of the books already in the series.
2. Underneath the description is a small (edit) - click on this.

I did what you wrote: it's the small edit link in the series page. However I saw, you've added my missing third book. Thanks

Emy I come back to you once again.

I've found the following steps I have to take to add a book to a series (copy from the librarians manual)

Adding a book to a series that has previously been created:
1. Find a new book which should be added to the series.
2. Memorize it (or just leave the record open in a different tab).
3. Find a different book that's already in the series.
4. Click on the series name in its title.
5. Click on edit to open the series for editing.
6. Click "add book", search for the new book, and add it.
7. Save the series.

I did everything exactly as mentioned, but at step 6, when looking up "Hubertusjacht" (the next book in the series I've added) there are no results.

There is also something else, I wonder about.

When I do a search on top of the GR page for Pim Hofdorp (the author) I get only one book. When I click in this find on the author's name I found all four books. Scrolling down on the author's page I see the series mentioned, but only with two books.

I can't explain this. I already used a different browser but to no avail.

Maybe you can help me once again? Thanks in advance.

Sometimes using the ISBN or ASIN can help with the lookup. I use that when its a really common title as well...

I'm getting Hubertusjacht showing now, so maybe it's a caching issue. Try hitting Ctrl+f5 before doing the Add books - outside chance it might help.

I also check and search using ISBN or ASIN, but these are books published before ISBN# became common good.

That caching hint was an excellent idea, but it didn't help me. However, I mentioned my problem also in the Feedback group and Banjomike send me the following link

It seems that GR is using a new search engine. It might be that my problem is related with it.

Thanks anyway for your help. If you can add "Hubertusjacht" for me I would be thankful. For the time being I will stop adding new Dutch books.:(
