Scott-robert Shenkman | 202 comments I must say thoough: after I read Making Faces, I read Warmth in Ice (Find You in the Dark, #2.5) by A. Meredith Walters and then The Color of Light by Helen Maryles Shankman . I don't think I have ever had the privilege to read so amazing books in a row. It was like being lifted from the pile of Meh I feel like I'm in so often.

Don't read the Walters book until you've read the first 2 "Find You in the Dark" ones. There will be spoilers and it won't make sense.

Go read my review of "The Color of Light" Yes, it involves the Holocaust and the fact that I'm Jewish made this book so much incredible to me. Not ashamed to admit - I cried for the characters and I cried for the family I lost. But the book is essentially perfect and it's a masterpiece (the fact that the author and I share the same last name doesn't color my judgment at all - if we're related, we're like 12th cousins 17 times removed).

Val Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling & The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1) by Robert Galbraith - her characters are so real to me.

I also want to hug A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness , not because I loved it so much that I never wanted it to end - I mean I did love it - but I want to hug it... I think those who have read it know what I mean.

message 144: by Raissa (new)

Raissa | 5 comments This book had everything I wanted: a friends to lovers romance that's by turns sweet and steamy and has fun travel elements. Full disclosure: I wrote this book--and I never grew more attached to a pair of characters so much in my life! I hope you can read it (it's free) and love these characters as much as I do.
