Why Do You Read?

I read because I enjoy being smarter than everyone around me. Not in a condescending way, just in a, I know that and you don't way. I guess that is a bit condescending. I've common sense and now i'm stacking my literary sense.

To use an imagination that often goes unused and learn about the world around me and some worlds that would not exist except in my imagination.
To keep a busy but otherwise boring world full of excitement and suspense at least in my mind.
