Hello, I just joined the group because one of my fans/readers mentioned it to me as a good place to find like minded people. I have been working on a series of 'Creature Features' the first on just released. I try to find creatures that people have not heard about, or that are not well represented in fiction. My first Creature was The Rakasha [A Hindi Tiger Demon](linked below).
the person that mentioned this group enjoyed the stories and suggested others in this group would.
Fear not, I am not a shameless self promoter, I like to interact, and discuss these creatures, not just hawk books!
Rakasha: Legend of the Hindi Tiger Demon
Welcome welcome! Glad you joined us, please have a look around a group, I'm sure you will find some interesting topics! :-) again, welcome!
Hi and welcome to the group. Good to see you in some of the discussions :) I will make sure to add your book to the September poll and will probably check it out before then
Hi, I just joined today. My favourite supernatural creatures are vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, demons, witches etc... I love paranormal romance because it is full of a immersive world of diverse supernatural creatures.
Hello everybody, I am barely really getting into being a consistent reader but I have always loved the paranormal, specifically demon and paranormal creatures of legend (where I grow up and because of my background the Llorana, chupacabra and cucuy were talked about frequently) big Stephen King fan but trying to branch out. Recommendations are more than welcome! Thanks!
Hi Crawford :) good to have you and I am sure we can be of service in the book recommendation department. In the mean time I would definitely recommend checking out our discussions on all things paranormal. They have gotten quite interesting
Judging from the beasties you mentioned, Crawford, I'm assuming a Southwestern America/Mexico base? Might want to look into Bentley Little, who does quite a lot in that area, and has echoes of King.Welcome to the group!
Hello everyone. I love paranormal fiction characters as well. I also love stories of spiritual demons and angels that are not physically there amongst the people, but are still right by their sides either fighting to protect them or fighting to corrupt them. Are there any books out there like that besides the ones I've seen by Frank Paretti? Are there any angels and demons books similar to the one I wrote where the angels and demons have once lived real lives and are now ghosts?
Hi Rory. Frank Peretti? I have tried so hard to find more books similar to his. That's real freaky stuff there. I would definitely recommend trying out Mark Carver's Age of Apollyon trilogy. Not exact but very similar to what you're talking about. His are about the end of the world where earth is about at it's end and Lucifer has a huge following on earth. The one main character is being followed by a demon that periodically shows up and possesses someone almost just to freak him out. It's a very good series.
I'm a bad person, I've yet to welcome anyone to the group. So, welcome to all new, & you may all chastise me if you wish.
Again, welcome. :)
I think I'm going to take a break for a bit. There is just too much going on personally & I'm in a really bad place emotionally & physically right now & feel I may not be able to participate in much of the discussions.
That's alright. We will gladly welcome you back when you are feeling better
Hi everybody! I'm P.K., and it's great to be around others who love the paranormal as much as I do. I love all the creatures: vamps, weres, the fae, celestial and infernal beings, everything. I've even made a few of my own for my book series, The City of Solace. Right now, my fave paranormal series is the Mortal Instruments series, mostly because there's a little bit of everything. I'm always looking for suggestions for new reads, though, so please, do try to convert me :). I'm looking forward to it!
Hi PK :) I must say I don't know much about the fae. You will have to enlighten us :)
Oh wow, that's a lofty task, but I'll do my best! The Wicked Lovely series may be a better teacher, though; I really like Melissa Marr's portrayal of them :3
Hi, you all seem like such nice people that I took the leap and joined. My name is Piia and I love the dark side :D
I have really no absolute favourite creature, but I love demons disguised as humans and the folkloric type of fae who are dangerous and strange (they might be beautiful, but in a poisonous way).
I'm also a writer of paranormal creature books, and I reckon there's many of us here.
Good to meet you all!
Hi Piia :) The dark side is awesome. We have cookies... sometimes... well on Fridays... anyways. Welcome to the group :)
Great, now I'm hungry and I don't even like cookies. :P
Hello, Sexy The TARDIS here. Kris or TARDIS will be fine, as many find it uncomfortable to call me Sexy.
A doctor who fan, I presume? Which doctor is your favorite? This is a test ;)
Hello all. My name is Newton. I've spent my entire existence both being as well as seeking out anything other than normal, so I imagine I should fit in here just fine.
Hi everybody. I love me some vampires. I love them so much I started a series called The Guardians. I just wrapped up part 2 and released it a few weeks ago.

I understood about half of that and what I got was very amusing. :P Welcome to the group. I don't think we have a section for druids yet. I will have to add one

S.K.N. wrote: "Tell us a little bit about who you are, what you like, and what your favorite paranormal books and characters are"Hi thank you for letting me be in this group. I love to read a lot of paranormal fiction books! I also love angels, vampires, werewolves, (The Mortal instruments is a good example). I am writing one book that has angels and stuff.
Bloodlines, The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Vampire Diaries (etc.)
Excellent taste, Marianna. Especially the angels :) glad to have you in the group
I'm currently attempting to write an HP-Lovecraft-influenced book. Mainly using his Mythos and his species of creatures.
Marianna wrote: "That's awesome I love the show. Doctor who is it?"If you are talking about my profile picture and name, then yes, it is.
