Maluhia Love kid-lit as well (even better is when I read it to the little ones in our family. Nothing boosts the mood like seeing the babies giggle when you tell them a story. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Paper Bag Princess, Winnie The Pooh, anything by Bill Peet -- nostalgia is a good feeling).

Also love The Hobbit, Wind in the Willows, The Secret Garden, anything by Patricia A. McKillip with her gorgeous writing, all classic fairy tales, and while not a novel, any Calvin and Hobbes compilation (Yukon Ho!) is my go-to for a mood-boost.

Lillian "Dead End in Norvelt".

Agreed! :)

Chris Pretty much any Calvin and Hobbes book does that for me. However, one book that really helped me through a nasty break-up is The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made by Greg Sestero.
