Kim (catmommie) Have you ever not read a book based on readers' bad reviews?

Recently, I removed The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger and one by JA Jance (can't remember the name at the moment) from my TBR box and put them in the Donate box.

Vorlady | 89 comments I often find that I enjoy (even if they aren't my absolute favorite books or great "literature") books that reviewers give poor reviews. If it look interesting I try it whether or not it get good reviews....

The same goes for good reviews. For example, most people loved Catcher in the Rye if they read it. I on the other hand hated it each and every time I was required to read it (once in high school, once in college, once in grad school) -- which is a bummer.....
