Goodreads Author Name Incorrect - Can't Change

When I change the author name from A.E. Wooward to A.E. Woodward for the book Imperfectly Perfect, it will not link up to the correct Goodreads Author. I have tried to change the misspelled author name on the Goodreads Author page for the misspelled A.E. Wooward and it will not let me and gives the message that the author must do it herself. I am sitting beside the author right now and she is trying to change her own author page to read A.E. Woodward not A.E. Wooward, and the message she is getting is "Sorry, only users with librarian status can edit book & author data." However, I am a librarian through Goodreads and it won't let me change it. The author has messaged Goodreads herself and hasn't received an answer. This needs to be changed immediately for promotional purposes. Should she just dump the wrong profile and create the new one?
