Lana Campbell | 101 comments It goes directly to whatever device you use. For me it's my iphone. It tells you that under buy now with one click. It's a gray button that says deliver to Lana's iphone or in your case your device. Does it say when you bring up my Amazon page where it will go? If you've never ordered a book on Amazon before it may ask you where to send it.

message 2002: by Chele (new)

Chele Smith Yes, thanks. I've downloaded a few ebooks in the past. I have it on my laptop and my phone. Just curious if I put it one of those if I can transfer to the Kindle over the weekend when it arrives. I will wait to make sure. I know my husband was able to transfer his books when he got a new Kindle.

Lana Campbell | 101 comments At some point in the last few months I noticed some posts either here or in another reviews group about certain reviewers posting scathing, vicious reviews. I do a lot of review swaps with other authors and finally it came back to bite me in the butt. This reviewer who is an author in my same genre, gave me my first two star review ever for a book that previously has only received five stars. Probably sounds like I'm crying in my cereal here, but I do have a point. The review did nothing to help me improve my writing. All it did was tear me down as a writer, as a person. I don't understand why someone would do something like that. Especially another author who knows what it's like to get bad reviews. However, I did a little research. Come to find out most of her reviews are one to two stars. Even Nora Roberts received a two on one of her books from this person. Geez! I don't feel so bad now. Sorry, I digress, but my point is, before you do a review with another author ask to see some of their other reviews so you know what you're getting into. Don't get me wrong. I don't think we should just give good reviews to get good reviews. Each book has to be reviewed honestly, but if you can't leave a four or a five, even a three, as an honest, moral reviewer you should give your comments to the author through a PM instead of posting them on Amazon and embarrassing the hell out of the author who worked and toiled to create that work. It's their baby and it doesn't matter how ugly you think that baby is. You should never tell it's mother let alone publicly embarrass them.

I think it's just bad manners, If I don't like your book, I won't even bother writing a review on amazon, end of it. There's a lot of envy going on between fellow-authors, so watch out.

message 2009: by Chele (new)

Chele Smith I agree. we can all succeed if we work together.

message 2010: by Lana (new)

Lana Campbell | 101 comments Couldn't have said any of that better myself. We do need each others help. If it weren't for other authors critiquing my work, working with me to be a better writer and so many other things I would probably not be a writer today. I'm thankful to them and all my author friends.

message 2011: by Ash (new)

Ash Lingam (ashlingam) | 24 comments Free Kindle give away on Amazon from November 28th. to December 2nd. of my latest western adventure.

West to Ranger Creek.

As Texas Ranger Captain Ridge Creek and his men survive a gunfight with Bob Lees Raiders in San Antonio, Texas, the lawlessness in the state since the end of the Civil War has become rampant. It is eighteen sixty-six during the Reconstruction Period and many soldiers mustered out of the Armies, both North and South only to return to burned-out homes and long gone families. Some turned to the trail West and Texan territory, bringing with them the hate and violence inherited from their four years of hell. Combined with the lack of military presence in Texas during these years of civil conflict the Comanche had gained a foothold and pushed the settlers back more than thirty miles as they continue their raiding parties unchecked across Texas and Mexico. With only the Texas Rangers to stand in their way. A historically factual novel with a peppering of famous Old West characters sprinkled in. Humor, tragedy, romance, bounty hunters, gunfighters and a strong dose of action make this third book of the Sundog Series a winner. Quite the Western Adventure.

Valerie Tate | 13 comments Hi, Chele. I'd be interested in doing a verified review swap. Your book, Behind Frenemy Lines sounds interesting. I'd like one for either Chameleon or The Reindeer Caper. Both are cosy mysteries. The Reindeer Caper is a Christmas mystery and shorter than Chameleon. Let me know if you would be interested. I could read yours now.

Hi Chele. Please take a look at my new group Review my Thriller on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/.... There are a bunch of really good authors with great books willing to exchange reviews.

Tori Autumn | 3 comments Hello! Hope everyone is doing well:) My name is Tori and I published a book last month called, "Sour Grapes into Wine: How to Leave a Toxic Relationship to Create a Productive Lifestyle." I drew from my own personal experiences of unhealthy relationships and I talk about how you can get through them and create a new life. If you're interested in reading, I would like to swap a review. Thank you!

Valerie,
I read The Reindeer Caper and posted reviews in all three places. Thanks for the swap. Were you interested in another? I have The Pearly Gates Phone Company and I'd like to read your first Dunbarton book. I had to crack up every time Chris made a big breakfast. I wondered if he did that every day or was it because he was home for a few days while they worked on the case.

I replied to your message but thought I'd reply here just in case you don't get the message.
It's a deal they have (and a running joke). Chris makes breakfast while Alicia feeds and turns out the horses. She's always hungry and the one time she decided they needed to eat light she was really disappointed that he did what she asked.
Sure, I'd be happy to do another swap.
