Tried to click on your book, but my computer won't take me to it. I think it's because you have the word "here" coupled with the url and my machine can't reconcile the whole thing.

Fb | 16 comments Hello again,

Black Cone Publishing has just helped a young puzzle author (Daniel Benson) release his first, entirely own Kindle puzzle book.

I would be particular interested in someone new to puzzles to purchase and review the book, as it is aimed at the puzzle beginner.

As it is a very light read, I would be interested in purchasing and reviewing another fairly light read. Of particular interest are humour, children's books, non-fiction, and comics.

If interested, drop me a line. Private email bermann@tiscali.co.uk

James Oh | 31 comments Happy day!

Anyone keen to review any of my series of Lift You Up Ebooks as follow:-

Here, we are a firm believer of “we rise from lifting others.”

- BETTER THAN THE BEST

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

- LETTING GO AND MOVING ON

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

"Letting Go and Moving On" offers effective and excellent tips, steps and approaches to help readers to forgive anything which has no value to them especially to set aside hurts and pains. Though it is very difficult, painful and hurtful to let go especially for those involved with a loss of the life of an innocent child, whom the author had been promised.
Here, you may use some of the shared tips, steps and approaches to give up something not beneficial to you; namely complaining, resistance to change, your limited beliefs, the luxury of criticism, your fears , yourself defeating talk, on blame, your excuses, and so on..

- GROWING YOUR WEALTH EXPONENTIALLY

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

"Growing Your Wealth Exponentially" offers effective and good tips, steps and approaches to help readers to achieve a long lasting and effective desired effect of achieving abundance of wealth, health and happiness. The readers will then do what they love and keep moving towards their new found purpose. By doing so, they will follow the flow and not fight against the tides of the waves in order to stay financially independent and doing something we love to do for a better world.

With the above book series, we hope you too can benefit from our experience and insights by cultivating desire to help others in need. This will then enhance our chances of Lifting Up more people so as to create a better tomorrow for everyone. Bear in mind that everyone has his unique and gifted talents which can definitely be put into good use for the masses. Otherwise, they would not be created in the first place, so let us be courageous to explore, discover and experience as we move on.

Cheers and abundant love from,

Samuel Murphy | 42 comments I need to apologize to some of you. As many of you remember, we did a swap a few weeks ago. This is the swap where we all swapped about 20 books for .99 cents each. I have written some reviews from this collection, but have not finished all of them.

Well, Last week I joined authortrade, and followed the directions and deleted my library of those books, never thinking that I still needed to complete reading some of them or reviewing all of them.

Well, as you know, authortrade temporarily shut down to do some modifications and will be back on line sometime this week. I'm hoping you can bear with me and wait a moment while this is all going on. Otherwise, if I rebuy your book right now, I'll probably only have to delete it one more time in a few days. That would mean that I purchased your book 3 times and deleted it twice.

Am I being clear on this? I have (seriously) been suffering from a horrible series of migraines the last two weeks and they are quite debilitating, so if I do not sound lucid, please forgive me. Please reply if you have any questions or concerns. But please no capital letters or bold type - it hurts my eyes. Nothing but soft music and 10 point type.

AMAZON SYSTEMATICALLY REMOVING OR REFUSING REVIEWS
I got this email this morning from someone who read my book:Good Morning Michael,
"I am not sure what Amazon is up to but I just got this email from one of the reviewers. Her review won't post to Amazon, my review did the same thing. Something is going on with your book that has Amazon removing reviews and I have no idea why."
Has any one else encountered this problem lately? Amazon also just a few days ago took down a five-star review of my book from their site (it had nothing objectionable and been up for weeks) and refused to give me any explanation. If anyone knows what Amazon is up to, please share because the person who sent me this email said she knows other authors who are experiencing the same problem.

Many people who have tried and tried to send and resend reviews seem to be unable to post them. It's rather vexing and extremely frustrating.

It appears that people were leaving fake reviews on Amazon. Some even purchasing them. So, now Amazon is willy nilly removing the ones they deem fake. One reason to be removed is if you have a personal stake in the product. How subjective.

Sam if it's the swap I think you're talking about (there were fourteen books in that swap), or even if you're not, we did do a swap together where you were supposed to review my book. I haven't recieved any reviews from that swap, although we did have two months to complete them. You'll purchase my book tomorrow anyway, so if you would still do the review per that swap, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

message 518: by Callie (new)

Callie Browning | 101 comments Agreed. I got a lot of people telling me they couldn't leave reviews because they got free copies. I think that's so unfair! What's the point of a KDP promotion day if I can't give people my book and hope to get decent feedback by doing so? As a new author I have to fight tooth and nail to be seen and having reviews is certainly a very effective way for us to get noticed as well as get good feedback from consumers at no risk to them.

I have actually made a point of writing to Amazon about this and I will do so now that this thread has reminded me.

message 522: by Greg (new)

Greg Strandberg (gregstrandberg) It's because lots of authors keep buying books, deleting them, and buying them again. You didn't think Amazon would catch on and put a stop to it?

If you'd spend as much time writing your next book as you do swapping reviews you wouldn't have this problem.

I disagree. What does buying a book more than once have to do with reviews being removed? Amazon hasn't stopped anyone from repurchasing books. No one has made that claim. "Reviews" are removed because Amazon has deemed them "fake." Not "duplicated" reviews but, not "real" reviews. And if you don't spend time marketing your book, i.e., swaps, so you can get reviews, you may as well not write another book because no on will know who you are.

I wonder how many of those people that wrote that they had reviews missing have been deleting books and rebuying them? None of them mentioned that. I've done it, re-bought, and all my reviews are intact.

Hi Jill this is just the type of book I can really get excited about. I have been teaching internationally for 20 years so of course, I would love to swap with you. Mine is a novel, but it is about a military wife who moves to the Philippines with a husband she would rather divorce.

She of course gets into trouble and finds new ways of thinking, but some of her new behavior causes her to possibly lose everything.

You can read my information on Goodreads... The Sympathy of All Things by Fay Guilian

let me know if you are interested.

message 535: by Fay (last edited Oct 04, 2013 09:04PM) (new)

Fay Guilian (fayguilian) | 20 comments I would be interested in review swaps with anyone. To be fair, I am not keen on blood and vampires, so I doubt that I would be excited about a book in that genre.

I favor women's fiction, literary fiction, non-fiction, memoirs.

http://amzn.to/1hpCPF7

The Sympathy of All Things is the story of a young woman, Leah Holden, who marries a man out of obligation, stays with him out of fear, and feels as if fate has dealt her a bad hand.

But when he is stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines, she knows even though she is signing on for another four years of loveless marriage, an inner voice is telling her a new country and all new people might be the ticket to her freedom.

Overwhelmed with the balmy decadence of this exotic land, she pursues unlikely relationships which seem to bolster her courage and her belief that she can turn her life around.

In the process she finds herself creating a world of personal chaos. She becomes a person she doesn't recognize, and she makes choices that will haunt her the rest of her life.

Leah's determination to move forward in the face of fate conspiring to ruin her, comes from the strength she gains from a forbidden love, and a newfound belief that she alone can change her destiny.

The question is, can she really?
