You know Brittany, Africa isn't exactly next door. And you will need all these shots and antibiotics and your husband will advise you against it.

One time when I had a chat with an American, they thought I was a prince because I could use the internet and my grammar was proper :)

Another time an American thought I was butt-naked outside my grass-thatched hut, typing away in a semi-arid countryside :) You guys are awesome :)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments lol my husband wishes to travel as well, however I think u are a bit confused Frost wishes she could meet us and the only thing I said about Africa was my cousin is half African American. And I do not think you are a prince because u can use proper English I had a Japanese and Vietnamese roommates and they both spoke very well. I have a lot of foreign friends from college doesn't surprise me at all. I hate sterotypes. People think West Virginians are stupid, inbred, drug addicts and have no teeth.

Stereotypes unfortunately exist and there is nothing to do about it. You just have to prove that you are more than a stereotype.

You have heard of black people stereotypes; all of us can dance and sing and black people are corrupt and all that bull. We are as diverse as it gets

One of my poems is on my about me here on goodreads it is the only one. Due to copy rights ect. I don't post on the internet. However that poem was featured in a news paper article so I can show it with no fear. I write a lot. I once read an author is a writer who never quit.

message 64: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments I don't know lol you'd have to ask someone like my younger sister. She is a very attractive girl but when I was a kid a boy just kept pulling my pigtails so she did stand up...and knocked him in the face with her fist.
It didn't change as she got older either. There was a girl who was a bit poor and people told her she stank all the time. My sister became her friend and bought her makeup and Victoria's secret perfume and bath set.
She is very outspoken at heart though and not always in a good way. If someone is being an *** she is hot headed enough to say so.

Thanks but its only a short story in a collection book. I am submitting another tomorrow to a local publisher I hope they accept it.

My sister is swell but she and I do bump heads. Mostly because I am a more thoughtful and polite individual where she is more like fire. Oh that's a good comparison. My sister is the quick consuming fire where I am ice slow to freeze but also slow to change.

I'm doing well. Thanks for asking. Congrats on getting to the final round. Sorry, i didn't reply sooner. At first i didn't even know we had a second page, and I'm somewhat lazy, doing a lot of homework, texting friends, but mostly. I've been reading books. I can't stand it. I wish i could read faster. The suspension to know what's going to happen in the book that I'm reading (It's called Swoon).

Brittany Perry | 167 comments well thanks guys and I just got an email from chicken soup with the final editing on my personal essay. I messed up calling it a story. Personal essay is the official term

That's okay. We all make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. Hahaha. That sounds like a song!!!

message 77: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments so true the only differences is how big some of our mistakes can be.

message 78: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) How is that messing up. They have their own definitions of things, you got yours too :)

message 79: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments I just mean people make mistakes of varying degrees.

message 80: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) Yeah I know. Like Frost thinking I am a girl, lol. @_@

message 81: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments Lol I am surprised you write masculine.

message 82: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) Yeah, I know! I suppose she is terrible at figuring such stuff out.
Ohh, btw, I never found any of your work

message 83: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments I have a poem on my page in the about me section just click the word more and it should pop up. I don't post too much on here because of plagiarism.

message 84: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) Ahhh, I understand. Well I will check it out once this internet allows me, it's so horrible!

message 85: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments Yes it is dreadful my cable keeps freezing tonight. It is because of snow though.

message 86: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) explanation I got from my service provider was that an undersea fiber optic cable got damaged. they switched to satellite which is slower

Well I'm sorry. I'm just not good at figuring people out. Especially on the internet. :( why do I feel like you just made fun of me?

message 88: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments No meaning to offend Frost you are among frineds here. Trust me I am clueless about some things. My dad was trying to teach me how to drive his boat and he said Its just like a car. So when he told me to slow down; I asked where the brakes were! Boats don't have brakes obviously not like a car

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) Frost wrote: "Well I'm sorry. I'm just not good at figuring people out. Especially on the internet. :( why do I feel like you just made fun of me?"

Hey Frost, we made fun of you, but good humouredly. :)
I made friends with a 13 year old American girl called Natahja. That was 4 years ago. For a whole year I thought she was white and Scandinavian because of her name. She was black! We had a good laugh about it for weeks :)

i'm sorry to say this, but i won't be coming online for a few weeks. right now i am trying to untangle my emotions. And, no offense Brittany, but i had a friend who said that exact same thing to me. it turns out. she wasn't a true friend at all. to her i was just a laughing stock, and she made fun of me behind my back. And, right now what both you and usul said. Is basically saying something that may seem funny to you, but not that person, and then basically sugar coating it to make that person feel better.
Well, goodbye for now.
Love,
Frost

message 91: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments Wow Frost I really didn't mean anything. I mean look at my pic it is not like I haven't been made fun of. I wouldn't do that to someone. Like I said I thought boats had brakes. I definitely make incorrect observations all the time. I am sorry if I made you feel incompetent. That was definitely not my aim. Perhaps I should learn to keep my big mouth shut.

message 92: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) Nah, It's okay Brit. Too bad Frost can't find Humour in everyday things. Not your fault. Actually, It is mine for I started all this.
For Frost, I never really make fun of people and laugh at their expense. We both have to enjoy it or it will cease to be funny. Hope you can trust your Imaginative friends more than this. <3

message 94: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) You are welcome. :)

message 95: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments So tell me one thing that I wouldn't guess about your country and one thing that you love about where you live and one thing you dislike.

One thing you wouldn't believe some people in my country still think its Western Virginia not West Virginia. One thing I love there is little traffic in my hollow. One thing I dislike is the law enforcement here, they are quick to write a ticket for speeding but don't do enough against drugs.

message 96: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) I think I know it's West Virginia from some popular rock song :)

Well for one We have the largest fresh water lake in the world(shared with 2 other countries) only lake superior is larger.
We also are at the source of the longest river in the world, The Nile :)
Bet you wouldn't have known that

What I love about Uganda? Well the climate for one; it's sunny all year round, I love the people who are quite friendly> I love the fact that we don't have as many guns as you guys have. The average person doesn't own a gun around here. I love the organic food that I eat and generally the cheaper cost of living.

What I don't like about Uganda?
Well the corruption for one. It makes me sick. We got 300 Members of Parliament in a country only about 4 times bigger than West Virginia. It's like having 300 Governors
With the corruption, poverty is widespread as the money is misappropriated yet we can actually live without donations.

message 97: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments Lol actually I do know about the Nile. I was always fascinated with Egypt so naturally a person would know which countries it touched did you know that the Nile and the New River here in West Virginia are the only rivers in the world that run the opposite way as most rivers?

message 98: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments Oh I love NY city. I went there when I was in a state art program. We seen Les Miserables and I loved the Metropolitan.

message 99: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Mugerwa (corrosivemind) I hadn't heard of the New River. Egypt is called the Gift of the Nile. Personally I don't appreciate that. They monopolize our river. You know we can't touch the Nile before Egypt has a say. Even Ethiopia can't.

message 100: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 167 comments That is crazy! Wow, I didn't know that.
