Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Neat, ShoSho. Keep us posted.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 1110 comments As you read, I'd like your first impressions of both Lady Georgette and James McKenzie. Are they typical historical romance characters? What do you think of their...predicament?

the way she ran from the room I was leaning a bit toward TSTL but now that I've read about 6 chapter, I can see why she did that. She seems like a typical H in a HR.

I Liked James ,He is not typical hero. It wasn't mentioned but I like to think he's wearing kilt.
With what I've read so far about their character, the things they had done the night before is not something they would do normally, so I'm really curious to know what and why!

message 267: by Nichole (new)

Nichole I have this on my tbr list, maybe I'll get to it before too long. I always seem to be behind everyone else in reading series/books :) I have a question that is probably going to make me feel like the blonde that I am... what does TSTL stand for?

message 268: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new) - rated it 4 stars

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments TSTL - Too Stupid To Live. Usually refers to a heroine who rushes into danger. Does stupid things that puts her or someone in harm's way.

message 269: by Nichole (new)

Nichole Ah yes, thank you! I've read plenty of books like that :)

message 270: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new) - rated it 4 stars

ShoSho (shoshost) | 1110 comments I'm half way through I loved that the missing purse misunderstanding wasn't dragged any more and they finally found each other and they know exactly what had happened the night before.
Using my active imagination I could perfectly see James's "nicely shaped bum waving in salute " in kilts when he was bent behind the wardrobe.
I'm really enjoying this.

message 275: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments LOL! Yes, I was glad they didn't drag out the missing purse.

message 285: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments We should probably ask ShoSho if she's done the book and how she liked the ending.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 1110 comments I finished it last night and liked it very much.
I'm not a big fan of "one day romance " but the author pulled it off .and I can't believe it was a debut novel.

I wanted to shake and slap both Georgette(when she went tongue tied in front of her cousin) and James(when he again and again came back to not trusting G) more than a few times but at the they did what they had to do and made me happy:)

and I liked that he shaved, I don't like full beard!

message 287: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments LOL everyone is hung up on the beard! Have you all never seen a man that looked good in a beard? Not a scruffy, long dirty looking one. A nicely trimmed one.

Think about kissing that man (all that hair in your mouth) , think about that man drinking and eating, think about that man after he'd washed his face and dripping ,eeek!! I don't mind occasional goatee or a few days worth of beard but anything more than that should go!

message 289: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new) - rated it 4 stars

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments I don't mind beards myself. I used to have a bit of a crush on Dan Haggerty of Grizzly Adams. And Barry Gibbs of the BeeGees had a beard.

message 290: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments ShoSho, my ex used to grow a fine beard. He'd keep it neat and trimmed. He was always shaving it off, growing it back in, goatees, soul patches, whatever took his fancy. I loved that beard. Didn't feel scratchy at all.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 1110 comments when someone says full beard this is what comes to my mind :D

message 292: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments Believe you me I'd never kiss that! No sir! That's not a beard, it's a bird's best!

Neat and trimmed is good , sometimes even scratchy is good if you know what I mean !heehee

message 294: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments Do I? ;) My ex spent as much time on that beard as girls do with their hair.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 1110 comments Huh most men spend more time in front of the mirror than the woman (my husband does),it's conspiracy by men that everyone thinks women spend more time in front of the mirror!
