Giulia | 1756 comments You know girls, a man ability to grow a beard is a sign of virility....Just sayin' lol

Hey Kit! You'll love this book :)

message 202: by Kit★ (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 648 comments Well, like Gerard Butler in 300, that's not a bad bearded look :) (view spoiler)

message 203: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments It's not! For a full beard, nicely fine :)

message 204: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new) - rated it 4 stars

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments I'm ok with beards. And I've seen a few men in my day that wore them well. Not my fave look, however!

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 257 comments Jenny wrote: "I just finished! What a fun read! I really loved watching the whole thing unfold. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series."

I will too!

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 257 comments I'm ok with beards. I'd rather scruff though lol

message 207: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Dhes' Question: Okay, I have to ask... how did you all feel about James' scruffy beard?

Oh, I like a nice beard. I used to trim my husband's. He had a lovely one, and wore it well. I don't really like a scruffy one, one that isn't well maintained. Especially if you can see food in there. Eep!

message 208: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Still a little behind; I’m getting ready to start Chapter 21. What I have found out and what I haven’t’:
(view spoiler)

message 209: by Kit★ (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 648 comments Just finished, the love scene was so... I don't know how to say it, but cute/sweet. I really thought it was done nice. I liked the ending too, the dancing, the whole celebratory feel. I was smiling when I closed the book. I will most definitely be looking forward to the next one about David, and really hoping to see one about William, I like him ;) This was a fun story, I'm glad I read it, thanks again Dhes for giving me the chance! :D

message 210: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments I loved the love scene too Kit. Thought it was perfect for them. I'd so like to see more of William, hopefully he'll get a book too. I wouldn't mind seeing more Elsie as well. Do we know how many books there are going to be in the series?

message 211: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new) - rated it 4 stars

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments You're welcome, Kit! I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I thought it a fun read, too. Nice and light, romantic...

message 212: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new) - rated it 4 stars

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments Giulia, I'm not sure how many books there will be, but I can try to find out.

message 213: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new) - rated it 4 stars

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments Lisa Kay, the whole food thing was my "eep" too. And when I was a kid, I saw a cartoon with a man whose beard was so out of control birds were living in it. I couldn't help but imagine twigs poking out of James' beard.

message 214: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments Twigs?! Ugh, if that's what I was envisioning (along with bits food) I wouldn't think it attractive either.

I'll try and see what I can find out too Dhes :)

message 215: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new) - rated it 4 stars

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments James' attacker didn't surprise me. While I was surprised at certain events, Georgette's cousin was like crystal clear glass to me. No mystery at all. But the journey to learn all about that night was fun. Cute little twists and turns ♥

message 216: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments True! It is a cute and entertaining book. Love the setting. A lot.

message 217: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments I agree Pam, it was fairly obvious Randolph was behind the attack and after Georgette. For me the fun part was putting all the little pieces together--finding Ceasar, finding out if they were really married, etc. It took a bit of time to unravel what had happened that night, and I enjoyed the piecing together of what had really happened.

message 218: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments Dhes, FictFact doesn't even have the book listed. I checked the author's site and here on Goodreads, and so far all I can see is the three books--one for each of the friends. So David and Patrick get their own books. Summer Is for Lovers is coming out this fall. I'm making the assumption that it will be three books and then, finis.

message 219: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new) - rated it 4 stars

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments I loved the town and people of Moraig! They were all so funny! Elise... I wasn't sure what to make of her at first, whether I liked her or not, but in the end, I could only think, what's next for her???

I'm excited to know that there are more books in the works already. That makes me very happy!

I really did find this to be a fun, romantic, quirky story and am looking forward to reading more!

message 220: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments I agree, it was quirky. Sometimes it takes me time to get into a quirky story. A Kiss at Midnight comes to mind. I had to re-read the whole first half before I could finish that book. But in the case of WHiS, it just really worked.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it so much!!

message 222: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new) - rated it 4 stars

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments This author is good, but it's hard for new, truly talented authors to get the recognition they deserve. So if you haven't already, and feel so inclined, please review the story and help spread the word about Ms. McQuiston. Just a few words of praise will do wonders!

message 223: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments Oh thanks for reminding Dhest. Still haven't written a review for this book yet. So behind on my reviews lately.

I FINALLY got caught up last week. With so many books to read, it's easy to get behind!

message 233: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new) - rated it 4 stars

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments Some of you mentioned that it was obvious who the bad guy was, but you still enjoyed the way the story unfolded. What was it about that that worked for you?

For me, there was so much else going on, that it didn't matter. The secondary characters were great, the unraveling of the marriage mystery was fun, so there were plenty of other things to focus on.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 257 comments UniquelyMoi *Dhestiny* BlithelyBookish wrote: "You're welcome, Lisa Kay! Maybe we can do a sequel buddy read when the next book comes out :)"

I'd love to do that!

message 235: by Giulia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Giulia | 1756 comments The marriage mystery kept me on the edge of my seat. Cameron said it was a farce, but the fact that we couldn't find Cesear for ages kept me wondering. There was enough little unanswered questions that I never trusted they weren't married.

Also, like you Dhes, I was too entertained by the secondary characters to mind about the villain being obvious.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 257 comments Some of you mentioned that it was obvious who the bad guy was, but you still enjoyed the way the story unfolded. What was it about that that worked for you?

I feel the same as you, there was so much other stuff going on that I wasn't too upset that I knew who the bad guy was right off. I was more interested in finding out if they were married LOL

Not finished yet, but you stole my answers, Dhes. LOL! Yes, a lot of other fun stuff going on in this one, so I didn't mind. Also, most villains are not all that hard to figure out in RomanceLandia.

I'm with Giulia - interesting secondary characters. And with Susan - finding out whether or not they were married... and, if so, how married. **hee hee**

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 648 comments I kept reading like y'all said, to figure out the little mysteries. I also was curious about why Randolph was all crazy, so that kept me interested in him too.
