Oh, please don't misunderstand! Fancy shipping is not needed or expected. I don't know why it costs so much :( I'll be all Canadian now and apologize for that because I honestly feel bad. It was so nice of you to provide me with a copy.

I almost opened the book today, when I had to move it from downstairs to up...but I was good. I don't know why... the only explanation I have is that I didn't know the "Buddy Policeman" was that good looking. But, it is all good, because I can wait for Giulia. ☺

Dhestiny, I still haven't gotten the book. It does sometimes take 10 business days, so it should be here soon. I've heard they like to hold up books at customs, though goodness knows why.
I filled out a customs form, so that shouldn't be an issue, but the time thing is why I was concerned to ship The Lass Wore Black on such short notice.

I had never before been disconnected from GR for so long as I was yesterday!! It was late afternoon when I got in. No need to apologize Dhes! I'm glad I got it too :) Love getting my hands on new books, hehe.

I was gone all day :( Took my daughter to the doctor's. They fitted her with a splint that is removeable. Some cool plastic like material they molded around her arm. Anyway, 3 hours there and then another 3 hours in travel time.
Lisa, I hope GR never acts up like that again. I felt adrift yesterday. I think I spend more time discovering books and talking about them than I realize.Pam, I hope your little girl heals up soon!
Thanks, Giulia! Me too. They think she torn a ligament in her wrist and if it doesn't heal they made have to go in and operate on it.

Yeah, after quite a bit of time being frustrated, I just gave up and went and read a book. And then cooked and listened to one on audio while I did that.
Understandable Lisa :) Is anyone else seriously tempted to start reading What Happens in Scotland now? The premise keeps whispering to me, "Come hither and read me..."
Will that get Sexter siced on me?
Like I said, I'm not the Buddy Read police, so go for it. But we won't discuss until the 6th, unless everyone has their books and wants to discuss before then.
