With Ryan/Devon, Eva obviously likes Ryan a lot but Addie doesn't nearly as much and sometimes seems rather peeved by him. Then when Eva kisses Ryan, Addie has a freak out over it since she doesn't have that sort of attraction for Ryan. How exactly do you carry out a successful relationship when you have an entirely separate person with you, watching everything you do and say? Would the other person just 'go to sleep' for a bit while the soul does whatever it may be with their significant other? Seems like this all would get quite complicated.

Am I the only one who's surprised Eva and Addie don't talk more? I mean, I don't have two souls, but I did have an imaginary friend as a child. It seems to me that when somebody's living in your head, you talk to them more than everyone else combined. Besides, Eva doesn't have much to do.
This universe is so creepy to me for exactly that reason! It brings up an issue of consent, which can further be viewed as rape, should the relationship turn sexual. I don't care how the author chooses to dance around this, it's disgusting. Eva and Addie's body is Eva's as much as it is Addie's, but no matter what, it is Addie's body too.
I think Eva & Addie have to work it out together and then one can 'turn off' or go into 'sleep mode' or whatever you want to call it. I guess the best way for a relationship to work in this world would be for the two souls to both love the other two souls? Like Eva & Ryan and Addie & Devon. But if that doesn't happen it might get messy.

Then the whole two souls loving the other two souls would work out.
