How do I post a picture?

Can I upload a picture from my computer?No, not directly into the thread. But if you want you can upload it into the photo tab (link in the group menu on the right).
There's also a workaround. Once you have your picture in the photo tab (or on some picture hosting site) - you right click on it, copy the image URL and then link it using the code from the post above.
Feel free to submit suggestions or names of characters you want to be part of this challenge.

I've never read anything by Adrian Phoenix, but Bones! Oh, yeah, I want to see how you guys picture Bones.

Are we going to work these books into challenges as well? I have read/or are reading the DH, BDB,and Night Huntress series. So I know what the characters are described as.
LOL...no, Kenjii...but it is teaser for those who are not familiar with them. Maye it will encourage them to check out the books.
I'm going to request this in advance. I don't own that many books (I know, I'm financially challenged), so even though I've read almost all of the nominated characters except for the Dark Hunters, I don't have a book to go back to grab an actual description.So, when you guys have the time, I would need physical descriptions for the following nominees:
Anita Blake's guys
Mercy's men
Adrian Phoenix's Dante
Dark Hunters (whichever you want to see)
I do have the Frost's Nighthuntress books, so I can take care of Bones, but if anybody has a favorite description in the books, feel free to post.

Yeah...JC is the original hot vamp for me...sometimes I wished there is more of him in the books...LKH can be so miserly with his appearances....LOL
The thing about the Anita Blake characters is that since there are graphic novels out, I can only see them as how they are depicted in those books. I've found some great drawings that a fan did of them too so it's going to be hard for me to see a real person as Jean Claude or Asher. It will be really interesting to see what everyone comes up with though.
I have to agree with you on that count, Lori. I mean, JC sounds like male perfection personified. How can one find a mere mortal to match?...LOLStill, I think it will be fun to try...LOL

Ha Ha i'm sitting here thinking who is Peter Patrelli::never watched heros::so i googled him and found yummy Dante-esque Milo Ventimiglia Ummmmmmmmmm::yes i can see where you're coming from Nichole:)
I found a great pic one time of a model who was the very image of Nathaniel from Anita Blake. I think I saved it somewhere... I honestly can't picture him as anyone else but this guy.

Well, now, my impatient Kasia, it depends on if Yz is going to have an Anita challenge. I'd hate to jump the shark with Nathaniel, even if he is yummy. I'll post if she says it's ok.What do you think, Yz?
Well, I'm launching Phury today, and then taking a break from the BDB boys for a while.I'm waiting for somebody to give me a description for any of Anita Blake hotties for the next series of photo challenges, since I don't have a personal copy of the books that I can go to.

UPDATE:I enjoy putting together the Photo Challenges, but now, that hubby and I are back together, I don't spend that much time online when I'm home. So, as a result, I don't have that much opportunity to "troll" the net for eye candy pics..can't do that at work..LOL...
So I was wondering, if anybody would be interested to take over this part of the group, and continue with the Photo challenges.
I'd love to help, but I'm not so good with the pictures and linking. Maybe somebody has better skills?
I didn't know how to post a pic before either...LOL..Yes, my techie skills are quite limited. Kasia did post instructions on how to post a pic..and it turned out not to be that difficult after all.
Well, let's see if we get other volunteers...
The way I do it...I have a photobucket account. It's easy and free to set one up.
First, find a picture you want and save it to your computer, usually by right clicking on it and choosing "save picture/image as". Be sure you remember where you saved it.
Then, go to photobucket and choose to upload photos. Find the photo on your computer and select it.
Once it's uploaded into photobucket, they will provide codes to use to insert it here. Choose the code that starts with Highlight that code and right click to copy.
Come back here and in a chat box, right click and choose paste.
Now all this is assuming you're using a PC.
Great idea, Shazzy. I think we are currently doing LKH's Anita Blake men and so far, we have 3 up.Would you be interested in sponsoring a few more, since you've already done almost most of the character descriptions?
Then will find another person who would be interested to do another series.
I like the idea of having different volunteers spearhead a photo challenge.
Shazzy,Great...The original schedule I keep was launch the challenge on a weekend and let it run for two weeks, then Kasia creates the poll, so all of us can vote.
You can stick to that time frame or not....whatever works for you.
Let me know...when you are almost done with the characters and then will search for another member who might be interested to do a different series.

Yz, Are they to be done in that order. If so I'd be interested in Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. I'm having surgery the end of July and will probably be out of commission for a bit (possibly a week) Since your saying you let them run for 2 weeks b/4 the poll goes up, that will work out great for me.

I can help out if you still need it. Of those on the list, I'm most familiar with Night Huntress, Mercy Thompson, and Dark Hunter series. Any of those is perfectly fine with me.It might be fun to do Bones from Night Huntress since the new one comes out soon.
I dubbed this Character-Look-Alike Challenge. Every week, we will choose a popular character. Then members can scour for a picture or image that they feel is closest to a representation of what the character look like.
(I know..I know..no way can a picture compete to what our imagination can come up with...but hey, isn't it fun to attempt it.)
Every member is allowed to post up to 5 pictures. I will let a character thread run for two weeks, then we will conduct a poll on whose submission is the best.
Kasia is going to post later instructions on how to post a pic on the thread. All that techie stuff eludes me...LOL...She and Tricia have to educate me on that matter early this morning.
Also, if you have suggestions on which characters you would like to get his/her own thread, post your suggestions here.
Although, I'm going to pull rank and do a JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood list first...*evil laugh*
