I am pretty sure I saw a list somewhere of what the duties are for being captain but I don't remember where. I said I was willing to be captain or co-captain when I saw it, so if it could be posted again or sent to me, I will be prepared if I am needed as a captain.

◈ Team Captain(s) duties include:


- keeping a Google Spreadsheet that all members can view
- communicating with a NBRC Moderator
- communicating with all Team Members
- making sure Team Members are staying active
- notifying the NBRC Mod if someone drops out
- have effective and kind (this is a game, remember) on-line communication skills
    to help members having trouble
- making sure Team Members belong on your team
- posting weekly status updates/reminders
- dealing with minor issues that arise
- post little challenges within challenges, if desired.

You may rotate/share these duties. We would suggest you have at least one Co-Captain.
You may have as many Captains and Co-Captains as you like.

Yes, Lára, I do take note of the á - and put it every time I respond to you. However, other people do NOT. Adding "Iceland" would work, as long as it appears when you post a message. Do you know how to do that?

Question: If my goal for the NBRC full year challenge was 60, and I've read 24 up to this point, would I put 36 in as my Color Challenge goal? I guess I could make a new goal anyways, since at the rate I'm going now, I'll read more than 60 anyways.

I've got the Teams pretty much firm right now, Dragana, but I'll see what I can do. You have a pretty big goal number, so you might have to wait until I get enough members/books to match the other Teams.

Also, I started the last of the Harry Potter series two or three days ago... that one can count for this challenge too?

Lilac, please leave your goal the same, unless you wish to change it for the whole year for Round II from what you stated: 70. Do NOT change your goal for Round I.

Ah! I see what you mean, Lilac. No, because the start date will be April 12th.

As in Round I, you probably won't get to the end of your personal goal in Round II. You have your Team mates helping you reach the collective goal.

I don't think so, if you don't change start date. If I got it right, since challenge started April 12th, it automatically won't count books with earlier date start. But I might be wrong :D

Hmmm... I'm thinking it should work, Steven. Give it a whirl and see if you are able to "view books." I think the big problem we had at the beginning of the year was that it was a change in years.

Well, I put the book on the shelf as a test, and it works... because I think it just checks FINISHED date (which is the date that shows up as the "read date" if you click My Books at the top.

Just didn't want to break the rules or allow participants on my team to do so just because I'm unclear! :)

I just know that in the Team A thread we had discussed with Lisa Kay the start date issue and she had mentioned that there would be overlap and the start dates wouldn't be strictly watched as before (as it caused so much work for the moderators)

I must admit,from a player standpoint, I had trouble with the start date. I usually have lots of books on the go(sometimes 10 or 12) at one time and I can't remember on what day I started which books because that isn't really of importance to me. I just care about the finish date and getting them marked off of my TBR shelf LOL. So having to remember to put down a start date for this challenge was a REAL CHALLENGE for me LOL

So if I am following and understanding this correctly, we aren't going to have to remember to use start dates for Round II?

Correct, ♥Robin♥. You don't need to worry about that. That was a GRs glitch more than us wanting you to start the book before 2013... because of the year change. So, we will probably have the same trouble next year.

Ok thanks LK. That's a big sigh of relief for me LOL I'm just guilty of not marking books from "want to read" to "currently reading" to "read" with a start and finish date. I just read the books mark them as read and put my finish date on there LMBO. Pure laziness :/
