It might take awhile; however, you will be able to count the books you have read from the START date of the challenge."That means that all the books I´ve read so far, for my personal 2013. challenge, do not count and that I need to read additional 200 books for Tower Team Read 2013 challenge? My goal is 300 books, and 200 for this challenge... which means 500 books altogether? I want to be completely sure that I understand the rules before it´s too late to withdraw. And if it is 500 books, I´d like to be crossed.

We are trying to balance the Teams according to everyone’s yearly reading level. Since all members of your Team will be contributing, you will be in a race to see which Team gets to 2,013 books first. Most likely - or hopefully, if your Team wins - this will be before you reach your personal goal.

You are not bothering me; I am more than happy to try and explain it to you.
Lára, I think (and please correct me if I'm wrong Moderators) what they want to know is how many books you plan on reading throughout the whole of 2013, regardless of if you've already done some, so they can get an idea of how fast you read. For instance, reading 300 books a year is very impressive and you would be considered a fast reader, some people may only read 10 a year and therefore be less fast at reading. Knowing peoples' paces makes it easier to sort people into teams. It doesn't matter how much of your goal you've already completed, it's not a strict number you absolutely have to stick to.It also doesn't mean that you can't read more or less and your books for other challenges, including personal ones, can count for this, you just need a specific bookshelf for the Tower Teams challenges.
I hope that makes sense and nobody minds me chipping in!
