As long as you read, they'll be glad to have you -- no matter your goal. Just keep reading and make sure you interact with your teammates and you'll be good.It's a lot of fun, and we are all getting to know each other and become friends. :)
(I'm a lower goal person myself. Though I'm pushing as hard as I can to pass my goal!!!)

Hi there, is everyone in a group already or are there gaps for people to jump right in?If there are spaces left, can I put my name down to join please? I have no idea how much I read in 2012, I didn't know about Goodreads so didn't keep a total.
My yearly goal is 70 (I'm at 23%).
Do I need to do anything else?

Hi ,so far 7 books ,but I do like the listings and reviews so far from nbrc/challenge :) this challenge is bit more rapid than the one club I am on now /good-reads choice book awards,which I do like also very much:).I do think this group is fresh nevertheless.
Jenny, this challenge is nothing special. It's competition between teams who'll read certain number of books (1350) fastest. We are put in teams by how many books we plan to read in a year. And trust me that number is changing all the time. :)You can join no matter how many books you read. That's all you need to do here - read books. The only rule is that books have to have over 160 pages.
I don't understand what you mean by this challenge being rapid. You read at your own pace.
Maybe she means the "dialogue" - we do post a lot. ☺

I'd like to join one of the teams.
Probably read about 50 books last year and am aiming for the same this year. Currently on 22 so a bit ahead of target.
You are going to be so proud of me, i know i amThe reason I couldnt' see the shelf is the print is too small for me to see, it is the one on the botttom called tower team cadet blue.
I have read 14 boks this month, one is under 160 pages and the other one I can't find in good reads, will work on it.

i finally found the last book so i am up to 11 and have another almost done. I am new at Goodreads and being blind takes me 4 x as logn as any of you to figure it out, i know I am missing dates ona few books, i do know hoe to fix it and will be 2 pm tomorrow ok?

I'm waiting to hear back from a Team Captain, who is waiting to hear why a Team Member changed her goal. (Some people have, unfortunately, adjusted they YEARLY goal to 3/4th of the year, since starting the challenge. Some have done it for Real Life issues. We need to know which, to keep the Teams balanced.)

Nevertheless, keep reading, as all the books you have FINISHED since April 12th will count towards the Team you are assigned. ☺
There's no rush on my part. If I don't answer any messages right away, it's because we are having our house re-wired (Finally!!) starting tomorrow, so we will be without electric/phone/internet for the next 48 hours at least, and a house full of workmen wanting cups of tea (Ekk, how am I going to cope without the internet?????) Then we can start building my longed for extension, which will give us 2 whole new rooms, YAY.
