I found one that has shelf, name, and setting and possibly plot. I can't find anything worth more than that and I'm tired of looking. Well anything that I want to read and can get easily. The one I'm reading is a Kindle freebie if anyone wants me to PM them the title.

I really liked this second installment in the Envy Chronicles series. Are there still gaping holes in the world building - yes. But it's still a good story and the characters are interesting and the writing flows. In this one, Sage and Simon follow the trail of Remington Truth, who was one of the engineers of the catastrophe. Sage is an interesting character - shy, computer geek. And Simon was an assassin in his previous life. They head out together to her former home and come face to face with someone from his past. In the process, more is explained about how certain things came to be. This is where the story is weakest and bogs down a little. At the end we are still left with a lot of questions and I look forward to reading the next one.
Gisbelle what book did you find for 16 pts? I'm about 30% into mine and I'm not getting plot out of it yet. So probably only going to worth 11 pts. I had a whole bunch of 11 pointers but couldn't come up with anything higher.
Thanks Gisbelle. Someone already reviewed that book. I'm not a zombie fan so I think I'll stick with the one I've almost finished. I'm trying to stick with books I already own for this. I found myself getting library books for most of the Dance Party songs. They were free so it was no big deal but I want to make a dent in what I own already.
I'll finish my book tomorrow.
Great job, Team! Mary if you ever need a zombie book try the Joss Ware series I'm reading. The first one is
I'd call it zombie light.
And I had the same problem with Dance Party. I ended up picking up books I hadn't planned on reading just for the points. I promised myself I would read what I have for this team challenge.

I liked this book a lot. Of course it had a lot of my favorites: ghosts, sword wielding men with Scottish accents and a setting of Scotland. So it would have been hard to disappoint me having all that. This is my first Lori Brighton book and I'm sure I'll be reading more from her.

Great job, Lizz! I have been slow to fall in love with that series. But I am in love with Nalini Singh. I just finished the third one and loved it. Can't wait to read the next one.I'm ready for Friday,Team!!
Found my book for week 3 which will earn points for shelf, cover, name and setting. So the total is 13pt

Okay, I think I've found one and it counts for shelf + plot + Title + Setting = 15 ptsAnd Gisbelle - I think your book would have 14 pts.
I will read mine today and it should go pretty quickly.
Is that Portland Oregon? Portland Maine? Feel free to PM those book titles. Maybe I'll have one.
I know I can do Plot and setting. Not sure about anything else.
Would immortal warriors battle Enyo The Goddess of War count as "mythical creatures?"
I won't be quick this week. I have cousins in from the Seychelles and there's a big family dinner tonight.

It's Portland, Oregon.
Are the immortal warriors essentially human?
I think so but the goddess Enyo is in it. There's a couple of other gods in there too. Zeus and I'm blanking on the other female god. It's at home.
Mary wrote: "I think so but the goddess Enyo isn't. There's a couple of other gods in there too. Zeus and I'm blanking on the other female god. It's at home."I'm going to have to get Lizz and Dawn's Opinion. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Well it doesn't work for anything else really so I probably won't read it for this anyway. It just happens to be due back at the library soon.
OK I have one that has cover, year and plot. I know I will not get name out of it because it's a fantasy book with all made up type names. Well they might be Celtic names. But it has dragons as a plot element and on the cover and they are mythical creautes. DArn that only adds up to 11 pts. Let me see if I can do better. Luckily I have nothing to do at work today and I'm all by myself. So I can at least look for something. I jsut might not be able to start it until tomorrow.
OK I have a 14pt book. I can PM the title if anyone wants it. It's got plot, name and year. I will try to start it tonight but I don't know how late the family thing will go.
I couldn't start tonight. Just came home from the big family thing and now I'm going to bed. I'm really tired. The 2 cousins that are visiting now are leaving tomorrow but an Uncle is coming in from the Seychelles tomorrow. He'll be here a month though so there won't be another big family thing until next weekend. I'll try to read my book tomorrow.
I am a little drunk right now so I will find my book tomorrow after I find out what color cover I have to read to the SOS team challenge.
(had to type this like 5 times lol)

I am starting my book this morning. I had a much less eventful Friday!

I took a look at the spreadsheet now that all the teams are done with week 2. We're tied for 5th place. There's 2 teams tied for 1st with 102 pts and then us and another team both have the least number of points at 92.
Now here's where I confess that I haven't even started my book yet. But I will tonight. This is the first weekend I haven't been too sick to clean in over a month. So I had to do some catching up. Great for getting audiobooks done but I didn't have an audio good for this.
I started my book late today, also. I had other things to get done today as well. Oh well - we may catch up in other weeks.

I almost picked that book Gisbelle but I don't have it so I went with one I own. I'm 100 pages into mine and it's only about 300 pages. Hoping to finish tonight. Has plot, name and setting. I didn't own a single book, as far as I could tell, that could get more than 3 of the matches. so I went with the one that had the most points.

A friend loaned me. She said it was so good. Maybe it was me, I didn't like it.

I'm wobbling between 3.5 and 4.0 stars. I love fractured fairy tales and this is a really fun start to a series featuring extremely fractured characters from fairy tales and all of literature. Really interesting world building and easy to read prose that moves pretty quickly. Every once in awhile it gets bogged down, but nothing too bad. Tess, is Little Red Riding Hood and she is now an enforcer. She's no longer with Seth, the big bad wolf, but she is asked to bring him in as he's wanted for questioning in a murder. Nate, the Grim Reaper for fairy tale people, who is also a detective, is asked to assist. From there flows a pretty convoluted quest for the people responsible. Tess and Nate also struggle towards a relationship as she sorts out her previous lovers, who all happen to be suspects. Great first start to a series. I will be looking forward to reading the next one.
