Living Dead in Dallas by Charlaine Harris
Date finished: 4/19/13
Rating: 4 stars
Review: Sookie is back and still in love with Vampire Bill but Eric is under her skin now as well. We find out more of Bill's family and Sookie gets called away on a search for missing vampires.
I'm still loving the series but wished so much that I had read the books before watching the tv show because they are so different and it gets a bit confusing.

LOL I hope it's worth it. I just browsed the western shelf looking for something published in 1955 and he came up, not sure if he's good...

Matthew BY Emma Lang
Date Finished: 4/21/12
Rating: 3.5
Review: There were some spots where I rolled my eyes because Hannah and Matt acted more like they were 14 or 15 rather than 20 and 25. Once I got over that, it was a pretty good story. Matt's horrible sister redeemed herself and I'm actually looking forward to her book :)

Ooops. Sorry, team. I finished my book yesterday evening but it was late and I couldn't stay awake any more. And today I was out the whole day.
Week 7
Gunsmoke
Book:

Date finished: 25.04
Rating: 2/5
Ok, another book i'm not too happy about. I was one of those books where I couldn't concentrate at all and after several pages I forget what's happedned already so I kinda lose track of the plot. At least it was short. It probably would've made a good or OK movie but as a book it just doesn't do it for me.
Points:
Shelf:Historical - 1
Cover: Cowboy hat - 2
Plot: Western - 3
Title: Gun - 4
Setting: Published in 1955 - 6
Total points: 16

Review: I have not read a cozy mystery in so long and this was just what I was in the mood for! I loved the flower shop sleuthing Quincy does while being a suspect in a rival shop owners murder which leads us down a winding road of wild events including a love interest with the hunky cop Alex who is supposed to be just pretending to be her boyfriend in the hopes of wielding off other men but yeah that part gets kinda predictable obviously. LOL I would totally recommend this one for anybody looking for some mindless fun and anybody that enjoys the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
Points:
3- Plot: Law Enforcement
5- Name: Adams
Total points: 8

Well, so far team 4 have 400 points. Ours (without Camilla's book for Gunsmoke) is 372. I don't think we could catch up unless we find 21-points books, lol

You are soooo right! and I've had a blast :D

SOO sorry I've been a bit MIA! We've had guests for the last 2 weeks almost constantly and work has been crazy busy, so I haven't had much time for reading and much less GR! :(
I'm just finishing up my Gunsmoke book - I should post it later today :)
I haven't had a chance to look for books for this week, but I agree that perhaps we don't have to go for gold since we probably won't have a chance at 1st place anyway :)
But I have also really LOVED playing with you ladies! And it was fun to try a different kind of challenge - by far one of the "hardest" challenges :)
Are any of you playing Team Scavenger? :)

Review: Well, I liked this one enough that I haven't gone to bed and have been reading for te last 7 hours straight and finished it LOL this was the right mix of funny, angst, sexual tension and romance. Dan and Phoebe were wonderful characters and are great together. I can't wait to read more in this series :)
Points:
Name (Dan) 5
Setting (Illinois) 6
Cover (football) 2
Plot (dysfunctional family) 3

Gunsmoke
In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
Date finished: April 28th
Rating: 3-3½ stars
I think this was a very interesting book and definitely understand why it has become something of a staple in the mix of true events and fiction. Scary and weird story as well, which I always like. As mentioned I do think that I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it when I was more in the mood :)
Points:
Shelf: Historical (1 point)
Plot: Law enforcement (3 points)
Name: Alvin Adams Dewey (5 points)
Setting: Holcomb, Kansas (6 points)
Total points: 15

I have to say that I really enjoyed trying this challenge, but I think it's a bit too specific for me... I'm too competitive to just pick something that's not worth as many points as possible, but I also don't like to be so limited in the reading choices compared to other team challenges where you just have to match a letter or items like in Scavenger... :)
