Oh me what an ending! June needs to get here like NOW! The romantic tension between Risa and her reaper is killing me! This one had a Riley feel to it also. Lots of different sub plots going on throughout the book. I can't imagine how Ms. Arthur will conclude this mess with the keys and Risa's dad. Just when you think you might have a handle on what's going on you uncover new info. And let me tell you I do not like Lucien at all, never really did and this book just proved why I don't.
Cover: Moon =2 points
Plot: Uncle and roommate to MC are gay and family drama =3 points
Total Points: 5

you had real life stuff girl. That is way more important. Were you guys pleased with the headstone?

It went well Ezi, I'm pretty happy with it. She's buried near a bunch of children for some reason. I like to think she's keeping them company. I know that sounds silly but you have to think of things like that to keep you sane.

Yes, it has to be a main character. Hero, Heroine, Antagonist...

Yes, you can change your books, as long as it is before the team posts in the point thread. There is no set deadline to "finish" but you loose team finish points the longer you take to post for the total team.

I didn't know that...it just says "Name". I would have chosen a different book had I know that.

Book: Eternal Kiss of Darkness by Jeaniene Frost

Ths is a re-read. Mencheres was pursued and hunted by guardian Radjedef. They came from the same line/ family before their sire bestowed his gift of power to Mencheres. It created an animosity so great that Radjedef conspired with Petra and others to destroy Mencheres. Now Mencheres rescued a wounded cop but he is drawn to her. Kira soon becomes the Achilles heel that Radjedef had needed to exact his revenge. Will he finally be able to destroy Mencheres and reclaim what was rightfully his?
This was my 3rd least fav Night Huntress but it was still decent. I just didn't care for Kira and Mencheres together though I really like them individually. I also not like seeing Mencheres seem vulnerable. He is Mencheres after all. It was nice to get Cat and Bones here but this one was just okay for me.
Shelf: Serial= 1 points
Cover: Moon on cover = 2 points
Plot: Family Drama = 3 points Mencheres versus Radjedef (same sire) jealousy and beef over power and line inherited from sire.

**I felt that this book was on the Serial shelf...is there an easier way to check than going page by page?

This was such an exciting read! It was about the last healer and how being healer wasn't so good for her. Everyone was hunting her, but she is a survivor ;)

I just checked it's not going to do any better than what I already had :(

I was thinking the same thing Laura, you can get a point for Sun
also, try to make a case for Plot: there is Kidnapping and family drama...also, was there an attempted rape of her in that book? also, when she was hiding from the king, did she fake her own death/let people think she was dead with her family?

And Ezi I'm not sure if the series name will work for title. Evidently, Melissa checked with Dawn or Lizz on the same subject and they vetoed the series name being used for title points. I'll check on this also :)

Can use a cover i dont have? i have book with the other cover.

Can use a cover i dont have? i have..."
Yes. You can use any cover you find on goodreads even if its the German edition. Please add sun to your review so you can claim that point.

Book: Nightwalker by Jocelyn Drake
Finished: 3/18/13
Rating & Review: ★★ ½
I didn’t exactly like this book, but there is enough potential there that I would read book 2. This book starts off with a 600 yr old vampire enforcer named Mira. She keeps order for the her Liege and the council of Elders.
But a vampire hunter named Danaus comes seeking her out. Danaus belongs to the group Themis, who protect humans from all Nightwalkers…but he has powers that make him more than human. Anyway, while Danaus hates her kind and hunts them, the hunters are more worried about two ancient races named Naturi & the Bori. The ancients actually intend on ruling all of the world, but in an battle with the vampires, they were defeated and banished from earth. The Naturi & the Bori have now found a way to weaken the protective seal and are plotting their return to earth.
They want to use Mira, destroy her race and recapture earth. Danarus and his race are able to “feel” the nature whereas the vampires do not. So Mira and Danarus join forces to confront this ancient threat in order to protect earth from the takeover attempt..
This book had it all, lyncanthropes, vampire, fae, and it was really dark. I did enjoy the sexual tension between Mira and Danaus, but not enough to overcome the slowness of this book. In the future, I will read book 2 to see if it got more interesting.

did you ever read book 2? i won't read it now because there are so many more interesting books to read, but I will revisit it sometime. The premise was good, it just was slow and dark and kinda boring in places.
Danaus was the only saving grace. I didn't care for Jabari that much because he ran hot and cold. I don't believe he loves Mira like a partner/mate. he loves her as someone like one loves a pet.

I just read reviews for book 2, and it doesn't pique my interest anymore. Oh well. I have had this one for a couple of years, so i am glad to be rid of one more off the TBR pile

If we can post all our reviews today, we may be able to get some Team bonus points.
We are in second to last place, but we can pick up some points by finishing ASAP.
