Who is the best Middle Earthen creature in Middle Earth?

Tom Bombadil, but actually he just lives there with his wife MerryGold or something. His power was so great he threw the ring in the air and 'made it' dissappear, then caught it again and gave it back to Frodo. It had no power over him, so neither did the Dark Lord.

Shadowfax and Brego. But when I was reading the books way before the movies came out I had all kinds of images in my head of how the Fell beasts looked. Then when the movies came out I was just amazed at how they looked! I love a lot of the creatures in the books and in the movies.
Loved Treebeard and the Ents. I also liked Gollum.
I liked Boromir actually, trying to live up to his father's standard yet failing in the end
I really like ShadowFax and TreeBeard....but i think that the best MiddleEarthen place is Rivendell. It looks beautiful in the movies.

In the books, I absolutely loved the Ents!
legolas was the best. if you say otherwise, you are nuts. just plain nuts. besides him, gandalf. everyone loves gandalf. he's epic.
The Witch King of Angmar or the ringwraith's Fellbeasts. You know the dragons. I really wanted one for a while like it was a car or something I could drive around town. But then I thought maybe, where would I park it if I went to Wal-mart? And what if I got a parking ticket? How do I wash that thing in my drive-way? And then I thought, why am I even making this a thing?

Eowin. One of the few strong female characters in the book and the only strong female character that is human. She is just so brave!

Your opinion, Feliks, but sadly a deluded one. Bakshi couldn't even finish his version.

Elves - the Queen of the elves in the lower area,.. Galadriel or something? She could read your thoughts. The whole woods were protected by her. She was given power in one ring and was from a time before middle earth. The elves in middle earth are different - taller, graceful, and beautiful, athletic and strong. Not like the ones today, which are short, mischievous tricksters, with wings. Have I got it wrong? Wood elves are sprites, which are dangerous to humans. No such thing as 'high elf' unless you thinking of computer games like Oblivion.
I love the Hobbits because they represent innocence. They are positive, happy and see the goodness in the world.And because of that, they are protected by all others. My absolute favorite character in the books and the movies is Samiwise Gamgee. He is simplistically yet profoundly wise, he's loyal to his friends, he's courageous even when facing the depths of hell itself. He never backs down, he never compromises, he stays true to himself and to his cause. No evil in Middle-Earth takes the goodness out of the Hobbits, especially Sam.
Wow, that is very hard. At different times and in different books, I love most all the characters 'the best' ... today it's Strider/Aragorn and Arwen. They loved each other for a long time and both gave up a lot for others and were rewarded for their insight, valor, strength and courage to rise above who they were, or who they thought they were.Strider/Aragorn - ranger, reluctant king, fearful of the weakness of those in his heirs' bloodline. Rose above his fears and concerns to do the right thing regardless of the failure of those in his bloodline it with the help of the elfen woman he loved, Boromir at his death, and others too along the way.
Arwen - Chose from her heart to be a mortal to remain with the man she loved and bear him a son even though she knew she would die having him or soon after.
Grishnack and Gorbag are the two doomed orcs from The Hobbit, the novel version. I always liked the orcs, until I saw Peter Jackson's scary interpretation. In my head they were more fearsome and wicked, than ugly. But when I went back and read it again I had to admit that he was dead on in his depiction. I guess I was young when I read it, about ten.
A tough one indeed as I love so many of them but Gandalf would have to be my overall favourite character.Best wishes, Stephen Livingston.
