In celebration of our new Cardeno C Family page we are going to have a contest. All you have to do is answer this question. ‘How did you start reading Cardeno C’s work?’ Comment below or on our new Facebook page(same name, come join us there) for the chance to win a 15 dollar gift card from Dreamspinner press. Contest ends on Friday March 8th. Content counts! We will be selecting the top 3 and then asking CC to pick the winner at random.

Bbybear | 1 comments I had been keeping tabs on online story sites for a long while and found CC on one of my favorite places crvboy. The stories there really stood out and I loved the passion and love the characters always showed for each other. When CCs stories got removed from crvboy because they were being published, I was so happy! I figured that meant more books were sure to come! and boy have they~

Syfy (sylvan65) | 9 comments 2011 was a good year for me, buying books like mad and devouring them like snack-cakes. I stumbled upon Where He Ends, and then there was !BACON! Immediately reread it, bought the first two, then as 4 and 5 came along... you can guess. I'm here, basking in the bacon.

p.s. the term "bacon" as used here, means everything fabulous you can think of, k?
;P

message 4: by Ericka (new)

Ericka Walden I frequently check out Dreamspinner Press.... Okay I stalk, but that is NOT the point! Anyway... CC's blurbs pulled me in and I had to have that first book! After that it was a no brainer. CC's books have the perfect combination of angst, drama, love, redemption, sweetness and HOT SEX... Umm... loving relationships that keep me coming back for more. Damn. Did I answer the question??

message 5: by Mika (new)

Mika (mikamilette) | 2 comments I picked up Where He Ends and I Begin because I saw it on the new release page and thought it sounded interesting. I loved it so I looked it up and found out it was part of a series. I bought the rest of the series and convinced my friend to buy them to so now Cardeno is an automatic buy for me and the books stay on my ereader for when the mood strikes. My friend and I still talk about WHE&IB.

message 6: by Zeoanne (new)

Zeoanne | 1 comments Years ago CC was posting stories at a website amongst other writers. I fell in love with his writing and was hooked. Once I found out he was publishing, I was addicted. I was so glad to have met the person online and become his acquaintance.

message 7: by Aine (new)

Aine Massie (AnyaMillar) | 1 comments I stumbled across He Completes Me (Home #2)and decided to check out the blurb. Before I knew it I'd read that one and all the other Home series books that were out. Her characters were great and the stories pulled me. I love the mix of love, sex, drama, and reality.

message 8: by Tricia (new)

Tricia (astrid2001) | 2 comments It all started with Amy Lane and Locker Room then Amazon suggested Mary Calmes and voila I found my first CC! I've devoured everything and have loved them all.

message 9: by Sammy Goode (new)

Sammy Goode I was reading predominantly Josh Lanyon at the time and saw the cover for Home Again--read the blurb and thought to myself that this sounded so sweet--and I picked it up and was hooked. Then I managed to write Cardeno and he was so kind to respond via email---so gracious. All I knew was the person who wrote such heartfelt and tender stories was indeed a lovely person as well--how lucky was I to get to know him! I love his work!!

message 10: by Neko (new)

Neko (loveless3173) I entered a contest (on Chris' blog I think), and won her book (I think it was Home Again). Since she was all new to me, I figured, why not, free book, new read, win win. And Boy was it EVER a win. With that one book, I learned that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all things Cardeno C! lol...

message 11: by Shirley (new)

Shirley Frances (sfrancespr) | 1 comments I discovered CC's books last year when I picked Just What The Truth Is for a challenge. I was hooked on his writing and the rest is history. I devour the books and wait expectantly for a new release.

message 12: by Sally (new)

Sally halliday (xelle) | 2 comments I found out about Cardeno C through good reads. I loved the cover and the blurb and have brought everything shes written since. In fact i love all her covers.

message 13: by Kendra (new)

Kendra T (kendra1117) I first started reading MM fanfiction (yes...I totally think Harry Potter should be with Draco Malfoy!!! lol). I never knew about there being actual good, well written, published books out there. About 3 years ago, I looked on Amazon and found K.A. Mitchell and Marie Sexton books. Amazon eventually had Cardeno C's Home Series listed as a "you might like this book" recommendation. I bought the first 4 right then. And have had CC as an automatic buy ever since! Thankfully, I have since found Goodreads, too, to get more recommendations because reading about amazing guys has seriously become an addiction!

message 14: by Johanna (new)

Johanna (thejo) | 2 comments Stumbled upon CC while playing around at ARe....saw a couple of the Home books and went to DSP to check it out and the rest, as they say, is history...*grin*

Luv me some CC....any of the books are wonderful! *sigh* I know when I began to read not to have anything planned or need to go anywhere....until I get to THE END! hahaha

Luv the new place(s) to hang out with like-minded readers...

Exiled (theexiled) I broke my leg on Dec. 2011 & I was forced to stay resting at home, so my partner wanted to make me feel better about that horrible accident & he bought me Home Again
Then I fell in love with the book. Of course he didn't stop, he bought me the entire series. After that I started to keep an eye about Cardeno C's books.
The End!

message 17: by Connie (new)

Connie (Connie__Reads) I found him on FB first, I was captivated by the book covers honestly...he had a mash up of book covers as his profile picture the big one, and The One Who Saves Me on the small pic.
I just LOVE the covers, so I went looking for the books.
I'm almost done with the Home Series, he has become one of my favorite authors.
I interact with him on FB and twitter, and he is always so gracious and just nice.

message 18: by MaryMary (new)

MaryMary | 1 comments I found Where He Ends and I Begin from recommendations on Goodreads during a Fictionwise sale - I picked up alot of new authors that way. I just fell in love with the characters and have not been disappointed yet with any of the books. I look forward to every new release...I'm glad to see I'm not alone in stalking the Dreamspinner Coming Soon pages lol

message 19: by Traci (new)

Traci Kurtz | 3 comments I came across Where He Ends & I Begin on Barnes & Noble. I am a sucker for friends falling in love. Well, I started it before bed one night. Big mistake, I stayed up way too late reading. Then I bought all the other books out. Since I loved all of them so much I went to the Dreamspinner Press website & discovered all the other fantastic authors. Now I check the coming soon page every morning with my coffee.

message 20: by Ryan (new)

Ryan Cole | 1 comments I did not know that there was such a thing as m/m romance books until my friend, Marieke, turned me on to them. The first thing she said was, "You've got to read this authors work. His name is Cardeno." So, I looked him up on amazon and bought his entire collection of the "Home Series." It only took me two days to get through those books, but I was instantly drawn into his world and his characters. Now, I can officially say that I am a true Cardeno fan.

message 21: by Jessa (new)

Jessa Ryan (jessaryan) | 6 comments I used to be pretty much addicted to ARe and would check the site every day to see what was new. Seriously, all through 2011 and 2012 I spent a fortune at that place. I saw Home Again come up on the new releases and liked the blurb so put it on my wishlist. It wasn't until later that I bought He Completes Me not realizing I had the first one in the series on my wish list. I read it and was hooked! I didn't sleep that night so I could finish reading, lol. After that I bought each new book as soon as it came out.

message 22: by blub (new)

blub | 1 comments A friend actually got me into CC's work. She showed me the cover and the blurb and I was instantly interested. I've always been a fan of friend turned to lover themes so his books were really right up my alley.

Good Morning and happy Saturday. Last night Selina and I picked our favorite comments from the contest post. It was incredibly hard! We then randomly gave each a color and made a sentence for that color. Cardeno C has agreed to read the questions and based off the color select a winner. Remember Cardeno C has no idea who Selina and I picked or the colors associated with them.
I thought I would post the questions for you typos and all. (I was drinking my first cup of coffee when I typed these up.)

“Oh I am feeling so orange and annoyed.”
“I should have eaten that brocollini I am feeling chartreuse”
“The clouds are out and I feel gloomy and and purple”
“I am so angry I can see red”
“ I wish I has been Bill, I am green with envy”
“The saddness is sucking at my soul, I feel so blue.”
“I feel the sun on my face I am glowing cheerful yellow”
“I could go for a swim like a fish in the sea! I am feeling aquamarine.”
