This book is great. It was way better than Twilight, I couldn't even get through Twilight.

I really loved this book! It is really good! I heard there might be a sequel and I can't wait for it to come out!
I love love LOVED this book!! So great to read, but sadly the movie ruined it!! I am planning on re-reading it again soon for sure!! Although, I have to say, I don't know that I really want there to be another book in the series....I think I like it where it ended. I feel like every book is a series now a days...and I am okay with a book just being on its own thank you!!

This book is way better than the twilight series. I loved it!
I've had it on my book shelf for 2 years...I tried reading it but I found it so confusing. Like I didn't know who was talking and stuff. I've attempted to read it about 5 times but I just don't understand it. AND I REALLY WANT TO!!
This book was brilliant, it's not your usual love triangle but more like a quadrilateral with all this awesome science fiction stuff. I agree that the movie was crap but that shouldn't let you not read it. The book was a bit confusing around the first 150 pages but after that everything starts to make sense :3

Just stick it out through the first few chapters and everything will start making sense.
Better than twilight that's all I'm going to say - there should have been more like imperial affliction.
I was so thankful that this wasn't twilighty. She redeemed herself. Really interested to see what she is going to do with the next installment. Fingers crossed it isn't a bust.
I had put off reading it for a while only because of the Twilight incident...but this is one of my favorite books now. She really did redeem herself. I thought the writing was really unique with the whole Melanie/Wanda situation and the whole love "triangle." But I also thought that she didn't emphasize the love scenes to much. Yes, we know that Melanie loves Jared and vice versa (and Wanda/Ian), but she wasn't so dang clingy like it was for Bella and Edward-I didn't feel like Jared and Melanie's love was annoying and overdone, it was more realistic and I appreciated that change from Stephanie. I also thought that it was honestly just a unique topic.I really love this book and I've read it more than once. I hope the next book is equally as good-my expectations will be high.
I see that I commented over a year ago but still I love this book. I can still say that it was WAY better than the Twilight saga which I sometimes absolutely despise. (Although their soundtrack is pretty good... I'm a sucker for music what can I say!) Anyway the movie wasn't that great to this but it was o.k. By okay I mean hovering on the brink of bad... But still I did like the actors that played the characters. The one thing I can say for sure is the book is a great book!
I definitely recommend reading the book before the movie. It is a great story, but it lives mostly through Wanderer's thoughts and inner takes on her surroundings. Part of that colour is obviously lost in the movie which can not live entirely based on one character's perspective. Great read and really different from Twilight.
Personally, I did not like this book at all. Itnever grabbed my attention. I kept reading in hopes that I would start liking it, but I never did. I gave up on chapter 18.

it tends to be really boring up to there but I promise it does get better.
if you find yourself willing to try it again let me know I would love for you to read it!
I loved this book so much! I really hope there'll be more but I'm also okay if not. I loved how it ended and everything in between. It was truly amazing.
I really enjoyed The Host. There are supposed to be a couple of sequels in the works. I hope so. I'd like to see where the story goes.
There's definitely been talk about two sequels but there have been questions raised as to whether they are continuing the same story or looking at the stories of others in the world of The Host.
I started to read this once but i didnt really get really far. I picked it up this year or last year and absolutely loved it. I cried at the ending when i read it as well

I really really loved this book. I have read it 2 times. It was a summer must read for me. I actually want to reread it again in July :) (Why promise a sequel when it's not happening?!)
I loved that this book was a) a standalone, b) not a rip-off of anything else I've ever read, and c) just fascinating. Much better than the Twilight series (which I enjoyed, but is really just fluff). It's insightful, the characters are strong, the scenery is vivid, and the concept of having two very different, very strong characters in one body is such a different concept. I do hope she writes more books in this same vein, but honestly, I don't think this particular one needs a sequel.
I loved the book, i liked the characters, the plot, the writing style. I liked Wanda our main heroine, she was strong, smart and i loved the relationship between her and Ian, i didn't like Jared though ( he was a jerk till the end of the book, but you know his reasons), i liked Melanie and Wanda's realtionship even if she hated her from the start, i liked that in the middle of the book they had a host-kind of realtionship, even if you know what happened in the end of the book. I loved this book.
One of my all-time favorites! I reread the book and re-watch the movie so many times! My favorite thing by Stephanie Meyer.
I loved this book! I feel like it got really bad rep because of Twilight, and it's a bummer because I would've liked to see more in this series.
I truthfully had mixed feelings on this book...in the end I LOVED IT, but I almost gave up! I gave it the obligatory 100 pages and I think it hooked me on page 98. It started slow but needed great.
Does this book finish with a cliffhanger? Because I know there isn’t a sequel so does it worth reading it? Will I be left out with 1000 questions or will I be okay with just one book?

Probably a few questions left unanswered but not anything that would leave you angry lol
This is one of my favorite books ever! It was instrumental in getting me into YA and reading in general. I've read this like 4 times lol
Like some other people have said, I love this book! It’s probably one of the main YA books that got me engaged to read more. Being able to escape and endings in another’s life and twists & turns is therapeutic 😌
