That's the truth Linda--I won't even pick up one of her books any more. Yes, I know she has the "right" to write what ever she wants. But seriously, the woman is (or was) a very talented writer. From writing books where you couldn't WAIT to see what would happen next because y ou were so caught up with the characters, she decides to devolve into writing porn? Nope, sorry, that boat don't float. You write porn because you don't have the TALENT to keep a reader interested in a story any other way. At least, that's always been my feeling, as a dedicated reader. Yes, there is a time and a place for sex in a story--but its not the REASON for the story. Its an outgrowth of the story.

Okay, sorry.
Sorry--but ya know, the thing is--we really DID love Anita before the whole, Have Bed, will screw anything that walks by. And now we are mourning what was done to her. The "old" Anita was kick A@@ and had a STORY. The new one is boring, boring, and did I mention--B*O*R*I*N*G?

Gems, you're a better person that I!
I especially want to slap some of them AFTER I find out their reasoning! But that's all part of the fun. You need people you love to hate. You need characters that frustrate the bejesus out of you. Because hey, in real life, people are sometimes (frequently) annoying!
Slappable folks can move a story along, they can surprise us, they can get us riled up and anxious and eager to read on to see them get a smack-down. And sometimes, in the case of the permanently TSTL characters, they can drive us away. But I enjoy all of it!

Phury and cormia from BDB - uuggghhh, what happened to his poor story!!! And cormia - she was just something else. Luckily I finished the book, but really didn't care if I did or not, cause she was so annoying
Bella from Twilight - she annoys me alot, mostly until the last book. The movie made it worse, she was depicted even more whiny - which I think New moon will do an even more thorough job of the whiny-ness
Marissa from BDB - she was not my fave character, and was very annoying to me until the middle/end of Butch's book
The Characters from mortal instrument series (City of Bones, Ashes, glass, etc..)
Couldn't continue after the 1st book.. maybe one day

ROLMAO. I wish Ms. Hamilton would see what the readers think about the way she's turned a good series into a joke. When Anita's character was digressing, readers complained only to be told no changes would, Anita's sexual three way, or four way, or five way depending on which book you're reading, would continue. The storylines of 'have bed will sleep with you if you don't touch me' or the 'man sandwhich with Anita in the middle' got old real fast.
And from what one commentor said above, the feel of guilty pleasures was hinted at in the last two books. I say, it's too late, baby, it's tooooo late.
