FAQ

What is a Challenge?
A Challenge is where you are challenged to read a certain amount of books or a certain type of book. we have all heard about the Goodreads Reading Challenge. Well this is very similar except you might be asked to read a specific type of book

Can i Challenge other people or Challenge Myself?
Yes Certainly. all you have to do is create your own challenge. and follow these rules.
- First of all Start your very own topic. In this topic you are the moderator. if you run into any problems please contact one of the moderators.
- Decide on what you are challenging people (or yourself) to do
- Participation in your own Challenges( ones you have created) is compulsory. Only the group Moderators will be exempt from this.
- Type up your challenge and then all you have to do is list what books you are going to read and then come back and let us know how you are doing with it.

what is a group challenge?
a group challenge is what moderators set as a challenge for group members to fulfill. please note those wish to take part in the reading challenges have to sign up. to sign up you say you are interested and make a list of all the books you wish to read under the conditions

How do you keep track of what has been done in the challenge?
this one is easy.
When you have read the book. go to your list and before the title you put an s in the greater than and less than arrows eg: < >
and after the title you put the same thing (s with the arrows) but before the s inside the arrows you have to put a /
i will put a * in between every thing to show you examples. remove the * when typing it up for yourself.
it will look like this <*s> Book Title<*/s>
after you have done this it will look like a line through it(once you have posted the comment).
then type the date you have finished the book eg: Feb 6
and that way you are keeping track.

Do i have to have time limits?
No it is not absolutely unnecessary. however it does make the challenge more challenging so it is advisable that you do have time constraints to your challenges.

OK i have provided you with a brief FAQ any other questions just post below and i will answer them as soon as i can.

please limit discussion in this topic

hmm good point.
well the only solution I can see, is if you are doing a time limited challenge, is to let the person who is issuing the challenge know that you are having troubles finishing.

ooh I just thought. maybe slower readers should be given a standard extra month. upon mention of troubles finishing.
