Amy This is one of my all time faves from Rachel Gibson. There's just something about an alpha hockey player and a southern sweetheart. Never lost interest even though you can tell it is a bit dated. Still a keeper.

Pamela I loved it too along with "See Jane Score," and "The Trouble With Valentine's Day," books 2 and 3 in the series. Total keepers, all of which I've read several times over. I wasn't too impressed with the books that followed after these three.

Amy I totally agree. Did you read Truly, Madly Yours? That was a really good one too

Pamela I did and I liked it, but not as much I liked the first three.

Amy Any others that you would read over and over?

Pamela Of Gibson's? Or someone else? If you like, feel free to check out my "shelves" under my profile. There are quite a few there that I would re-read. :)

Annette .I liked Nothing But Trouble (Chinooks Hockey Team, #5) by Rachel Gibson .

message 8: by Amy (new)

Amy That one was good - not my favorite Chinook though. And though I have tried other hockey/romance - so far I haven't come across one I like as much as the Chinook series. It's got the sutm-sutm. :)

Annette Yeah, I really enjoyed all Chinook Series too. Does anyone know if she's adding anymore to the series?

message 10: by Amy (new)

Amy I never thought to check. But I know they aren't recent releases so the author may have moved on. I downloaded Playing For Keeps - going to try that one next.

Norma I love Rachel Gibsons books! I will have read them all when I finish the book I'm currently reading. Any recommendations on easy read authors. Thanks!

Amy Just finished The Sweet Gum Tree...it was amazing. It's heavy but so worth it.

I am making my way through the Chinooks series right now - I've read Simply Irresistible and See Jane Score and I've got book 3 on hold at the library. Love them so far!!

Have you read the Assassins series by Toni Aleo? They definitely had the sutm-sutm for me!!! Hot Hot Hot!

Dee but I love her series - I read all 4 of them in about a month time period ;) I have her new one on my pile

Janeiowa She has a 5th one out? WhooHoo....I have to go look.

message 20: by Dee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dee its not a NZ Rugby one - just a straight contemp I think - Welcome to Paradise

Janeiowa Ok...thanks.

Kimberly Light I love Rachel Gibson. I found her and read all of her books in two weeks, i am dying for another one....

Janeiowa I have on my Wait List that she has one coming out this fall called Run to You.

I hope it's back in the tradition of her early ones that I loved...the Chinook series and the 4 female authors. I also just noticed in my digital library that Delaney Shaw-Nick Allegrezza book...Truly, Madly Yours has a new cover. It's probably being reissued, I guess. Truly Madly Yours by Rachel Gibson

I do like the NY Blades series by Deirdre Martin (My favorite in that series is Fair Play) and The Assassin's series by Toni Aleo (My favorite in this series is Empty Net) Both are good series. Toni's series continues with Blue Lines that should be release in January.

message 25: by Amy (new)

Amy Thanks for letting me know. I'll check them out!
:)

Janeiowa I did enjoy RUN TO YOU, and went back and re-read RESCUE ME to get back into the "atmosphere" / remembering the characters, etc.

I read so much, I tend to forget which characters are in which series. :)

Amy Have you ever forgotten the names of the H's in the book you're currently reading!?!

I have!

I'm hoping that just means I have too much going on. If it is a precursor to early alzheimer's I don't want to know!

Janeiowa I've forgotten them when I go to write a review or to make a notation in the spreadsheet I keep of the books I've read. I attribute it to the fact I read a lot...and the characters tend to get mixed up in my memory, sometimes.

jane

Anabell I love Rachel Gibson books especially "trouble with valentines day" and "Tangled up in you"...

I would recommend Bella Andres; The Sullivan serie. All of the books are so fun and well written... Really like them...

Anabell Cant seem to find "Shine Don't Burn"! who wrote it?

Anabell Hi hi... I am not good at remembering either titles or names. However I did find it, and it sounds great... put it on my want to read list. So thanks for the tip :-) Looking forward to reading it :-)

Maggie'may Reinders I think Rachel gibson should write a book with lexie the daughter from the first chinooks book as the lead

Luv Any Man of Mine (Chinooks #6) is my favorite in this series.

Can't recall the name of the book but I loved the one in the Chinooks series where the hockey player and lady had a son. He paid her child support (which provided a tidy sum for them) and she continued working as a wedding planner. They bump into each other or meet and become attracted to each other again. I loved the writing and the way they slowly defrosted and let each other back into their lives---and their beds!
