So let's just say that Annabeth was never in the series to begin with (I know I know! Dark thoughts... wipe away the tears!) But for discussion's sake, lets just say she was never a part of the series. Do you think Percy and Rachel would have ended up a couple, or stayed friends? Percy and Reyna?

I think the author would make him and Rachel be together. Just for the romance.

Or maybe Percy wouldn't have survived so long if it weren't for Annabeth. Remember the books mention Percy's mom thinking Annabeth is the most levelheaded demigod there is and that she is always saving Percy from dying. But there could be other ways he could survive without Annabeth's help.
he'd end up with thalia maybe? or is she too much related to him? (just a thought, i don't ship them)
meehh there wouldnt be a series without annabeth it wouldnt have worked and no way would percy end up with reyna and he wouldnt be alive long enough to meet reyna or rachel if it wasnt for Annabeth saving his butt all the time

If Percy didn't have Annabeth he would so clueless. She helps him so much that it's not even funny.

There is no world without Annabeth it doesn't exist :-)
I think Rachel and Percy would have been a couple. But without annabeth Percy could not have saved everyone from the titans.
In a world with out Annebeth, Percy would have never lived this long.
AHHHH!!! THAT WOULD BE TERRIBLE! No offense but I hate Rachel... I adore Annabeth maybe it's cuz I'm just like her... like literally... I hav curly blond hair, blue/grey eyes (okay so not just grey but they look like storms and are my best feature) I'm really smart (not to toot my own horn) Love to read, love owls! hate spiders, I'm really athletic and not really that girly. Oh... and I have a crush on Percy Jackson... :D Without Annabeth I don't think I could bear the series!
Me neither!!!! I love Annabeth soo much! And Percy and Annabeth together!!!!!!!! But I was just wonderin... I think Uncle Rick probably would have put Reyna and Percy together (If he lived that long ;) ) because Rachel would have needed to become ORacle.
I love Annabeth too! Shes one of my favorite characters ever! Honestly, I think Percy would be dead if it weren't for her. He would have been a stone statue in Medusa's garden :( Then Camp Half-Blood would get attacked and probably crumble too because its magical borders failed! Luke would stay forever evil, Rachel wouldn't have ever become an oracle, Kronos would take over the world,etc, etc.Really if you think about it, the whole world population would become slaves and entertainment for the titans if there was no Annabeth.
Then it would be Rachel City and we still have a old Oracle in the Attic, I don't know how the Lightening Thief would go though or the rest of the series in that matter.
There would be no Percabeth...Percy would probably date Rachel...

Percy would be dead many times over and life would stink.
I agree, Percy would have died in the first book!
But assuming he did somehow manage to survive without Annabeth (It'd be a miracle, I know!) I think it's more likely he'd have ended up with Reyna than Rachel. Someone needed to become the Oracle, so she would have had a tearful goodbye with Percy. Then he'd end up in Jupiter where the beautiful praetor gives him an offer...

Rachel knows that the reason Percy showed her the Greek world was so that she could be the Oracle and not the girlfriend of a Greek hero so no for Prachel (even though Rachel is a great character, it'll be OOC for her to just go after guys' hearts)

a world without annabeth, percy would be long dead. he really depends on her though out the story. it would also suck, though we would see more of rachel, and i like her
Percy would have been dead by the end of the first book. On the off chance that he survived, he would be with Rachel.
