Thanks so much Roxanne - I was feeling a bit battered over the discussion on the other thread so this helps make me feel better.
Hi Robin--As a 20 year member of SFWA, many thanks to you Robin for posting this link. SFWA, and The Authors Guild, do post sample contracts, or describe the basic components of book contracts, on their websites. Like you and others on the various Goodreads threads, these two groups are trying to help new and older authors learn what they need to be successful, informed and professional. As for your other thread, where I left a brief comment, sorry that M.C.'s comments felt rough. It appears he made a few assumptions about you and your hubby's books that were not correct. Anyway, thanks for all the sharing you are doing on this and other threads. Tom.
Thanks Tom,
And thanks for reminding me about Author's Guild which has a great service in that they will review contracts for members. They have a great link that has some tips on contracts here:

Thanks for posting this - I've been a SFWA member since about 81 - they tirelessly work to help new authors find their footing with right information.
If you visit the site, also check out the section for Writer Beware, it could spare your aspiring dreams a world of hurt.
More, there is a catagory of membership for newcomers - which includes the SFWA Bulletin, a quarterly mailing that includes a wealth of articles, information, and market reports from that branch of the industry. It also covers upcoming changes and current issues affecting the field of publishing. Well worth the pittance to join, in my opinion.
