I LOVE cryptograms! I'm super excited about this one :)
Alright, puzzles are up. Feel free to send me your answers without the key ... that's mostly to help you solve them.

Yay! I'm glad people are finding it fun/interesting. My gramma and I used to spend hours doing cryptograms. We would do them without any letters or theme even ... They can be hard, but they're really fun. They're good for teaching flexibility too.
I just solved them, it was real fun! And it's not that easy :) Loved this contest!

No, the difficulty is just right. I wish more people would play, it's a fun way to get a book :)

Cryptograms are a ton of fun. For a full explanation, check out the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptogram
Each Book from our four BOTM books will have it's own "code", and a series of puzzles that fit that code.
Some of the letters will be filled in so that you have somewhere to start.
Here's an example puzzle to show you how it works:
In the example above, it becomes clear that the last word is "CONTEST" which allows us to fill in 8 and 22. 22 fills in a word elsewhere, which narrows the possibilities, and so forth. Eventually, the idea is that puzzling skills and theme will allow us to interpret the phrase.
Here, the phrase is "SHUT UP AND READ BOTM CONTEST".
I will post phrases for the March BOTM books as soon as I familiarize myself with them. They will be organized so that familiarity with the books will help you to solve the puzzle (character names, titles, authors, etc.).
