Hi,

My ratings box hasn't been updating, even though you guys have refreshed it. Would it be possible to please try again and see if it goes to its current number of 33?

If you look at the actual breakdowns by number above it (the bar graphs) it only shows 31 now. And on my home page, I'm told there are 33 ratings.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than keep refreshing. Between an existing site bug that's been ongoing for quite a while that means until the developers fix manual refreshes have to get done and the way goodreads data caches as members shelve and unshelve books ...

You can keep requesting refreshes here or can go to any edition of the book, edit details and midway down righthand side refresh book stats yourself (refreshes for all editions of the book).

Books should not be refreshed more often than every 24 hours. It is unlikely to be effective, and it can put a strain on the servers.

I'm not sure the goodreads data caching, like Rivka noted, is going to be fast enough to keep up with a fluctuation of only one rating faster than a few hours even when the bug is corrected.

Not likely to ever see real time ratings if checking every few minutes.
