Leila Summers (leilasummers) | 760 comments I'd like to share a useful writing tool I have discovered called http://750words.com/. It is basically an online version of Morning Pages, an idea originating from Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way. The idea is to begin every morning by writing three pages or 750 words of anything and everything that comes into your head. The wonderful thing about doing this on a private online document is that it really doesn’t have to be edited or censored as one tends to do when writing in a journal. I have found that the more I write about whatever crosses my mind, the more words, ideas and inspiration flows. A highly recommended tool for kick starting your writing!

Mirta Trupp Hi everyone! I have just had my memoir accepted for a "SNEAK PEEK" on Indies Unlimited page. Check it out and look into the possibilities of submitting your own information:

Leila Summers (leilasummers) | 760 comments Thanks Mirta, it looks like there are a lot of opportunities on that blog for author guest posts, interviews and features. Another interesting thing I noticed is that if you have a book that is free on a Friday, you can add it in a comment on their Freebie Friday posts.

Mirta Trupp I am so proud to share this. I was asked to write an article for the "TOLDOT", a magazine for the Jewish Genealogical Association of Argentina. This magazine has won an award in London, England for previous editions and is again, winning acclaim in this field. I'm so proud to be part of it's renaissance. Besides writing the article about my genealogical research, they allowed me to speak of my memoir, post a picture of the book and provide a link. Very exciting!!

Thanks Grace. It was truly an honor. I have a collection of these magazines dating back twenty years.

Lori Johnstone (canuckmom) | 3 comments Hi Everyone!

I am new to this forum.

A great book full of wonderful imagery, a surefire way to inspire the memoirist, is Beth Kephart's book, 'handling the truth :on the writing of memoir.'

She inspires me to get this book-my life-out of my head, but also to make it more than just my life story, but my life if it were painted on a canvas. I highly recommend it.

Leila Summers (leilasummers) | 760 comments Sounds brilliant Lori, just what I need to do now, get my second memoir out of my head and onto paper :) In my workshops, I teach that our whole life is a work of art - make it a beautiful one!
