She smiled at Ma "Nick I just looking around but thank you for asking

Echo raised an eyebrow and laughed. She yawned after Gem yawned. "Stop *yawn* yawning. You know its contagious," she teased

"No problem hun. Just let me know if you need anything." Ma smiled.
"No problem hun. Just let me know if you need anything." Ma smiled.
Echo forced herself to keep her mouth closed as she felt a yawn cone on. She swallowed it, then started to get te hiccups. "Come....*hiccup* on!"
Gem laughed and flopped back on one of the beds. "Echo," she said turning her head to look at her. "We should go back to the library tomorrow to research more."
Echo nodded and hopped on a bed next to Gems. She sat cross legged on it, "Yeah that's probley the best idea," she agreed
Gem nodded slowly as she yawned again. She was about to say something else that wasnt important but too tired, she passed out on top of the bed's sheets. Her red hair was spilled around her face, her arm tucked under her head, and her mouth parted slightly in a little o.
Echo smiled and bit back a chuckle. Gem looked how Echo felt, but nonetheless, she decided she would stay up and keep watch. She still didn't know if she could trust ma and pa fully. She slipped a pillow under Gems head and pulled up a light blanket
Echo went back over to her own bed and leaned against a pillow. She kept herself aware of any strange noises, if any. But all she heard was Gem's mumbling
Ma put fresh towels in the bathroom and cleaned up the house. After she finished, she started a fire for anyone that was cold. She rubbed her slightly wrinkled face and sat on a loveseat with a cup of hot chocolate.
Echo heard movement downstairs. Probably Ma or Pa. Maybe she could go talk to them, find out more about them to see if she could trust them. The trust would have to be hard earned, but she didn't know if she should leave Gem. She would freak if she woke and saw her missing
Ma sat in front of the fire content sipping her hot chocolate. She wished she could do more for these kids. They just didn't seem to need any help or want it for that matter.
Echo sighed and decided it would be best to find out if Ma and Pa were trustworthy. Gem would understand. She got up and silently made her way to the door. She opened it and slid out. Closing it behind her, she made her way to where she heard Ma
Ma heard someone coming up behind her. She turned around and saw one of the older girls. "Is everything all right?"
Echo nodded, "Yeah, everythings fine," she replied. "I just wanted to say thanks, for everything," might as well not get off on the wrong foot. But that might have already happened...
Ma smiled, "It's no problem. I just hope this little place is big enough for ya'll." She took a sip of her drink. "Do ya want some hot cocoa?"
Echo smiled, "It should be plenty big," she said and nodded, "Sure I would love some hot cocoa," she said happily.
Ma chuckled and stood up. She heated the stove up. "What do ya want in it? Marshmallows, whipped cream, peppermint stick?" She asked from the kitchen.
Echo tried to hid her confusment. Who knew so many things could go in a drink. "Umm, marshmallows should be fine, thank you," she answered
"Okay hun." She boiled the water and made the hot chocolate herself. She wasn't one for prepackaged things. When it was done, she poured it in a mug and plopped 4 huge marshmallows in it. She brought out the steaming cup and handed it to the girl. "Careful, it's hot, honey."
Echo took the cup greatfully, "Thank you," she said softly and stared down at the mug. The steam coming off it was already warming
((sorry it took so long to respond, I was reading a trolling thread for the Hunger Games. Why do these people find amusement in trolling??))
Ma smiled and settled down back in her chair. She relaxed and watched the crackling fire.

((Haha, no problem. I have to go soon thought :())Echo sat down in a spare chair near Ma. She looked down at the cup again and thought maybe poison? Probley not. It was still warm, but Echo took a sip anyway. Her tastebuds danced and her eyes lit up
Echo raised an eyebrow, "Like it?" she shook her head, "No, I love it. This is amazing!" she said and threw one free hand up in the air
Echo smiled back and sipped some of her hot cocoa. "How long have you lived here?" she asked casually
Ma tapped her chin. "Let me think......1969...Okay, 44 years in July. So, what brings ya'll here to our little town? We don't get visitors much." She asked with genuine curiosity.
"44 years? Wow," Echo said, and added, "Honestly, it was the best place to disappear to. With mom-" she choked, "We figured out best place to go was somewhere small."
Ma scrunched her eyebrows. "Okay...Well you've come to the right place." She could tell that she was lying but didn't press the issue. She was curious as to why they kept being so secretive. Nevertheless, it wasn't her problem as to why they were there but to make sure they knew they were welcome. "Ya'll stay as long as ya need."
Echo smiled weakly, "Thanks, but we wont try and stay to long," she assured, knowing Ma didn't believe her at all. But oh well, less she knew the better
Ma's tone turned serious. "Hun, I want ya'll to stay here as long as ya need ya hear?" She couldn't stand to think of these kids being on their own.
Echo smiled gratefully and wondered why Ma was being so kind. "Thank you," she said honest and open-heartly
"Where are y'all from?" Ma asked knowing sure want going to get a straight answer but she tried anyway.
Ma jumped in surprise. She hadn't realized some of the other kids had snuck up behind her. She smiled at them and gestured for them to sit down. "I love to travel but since opening the shop and the bed and breakfast, I haven't been able to as much." She looked at all of them kindly. "Would any of ya like some hot cocoa?"
Gem groggily sat up in the bed. She realized that she was now lying on a pillow and covered with a blanket. She looked around and saw that Echo was gone. She rubbed her eyes and stood up hearing voices downstairs. She walked out of the room and joined them in the living room.

Ma stood up and heated the stove. She poked her head out the door and asked,"Anyone else?"
Gem sat down quietly next to Zach. She brought her feet up underneath her and yawned. She was still waking up.

Gem smiled and laid her head on his shoulder.
Ma turned away from the stove. "Sure thing Hon. How do ya like your coffee?"
