Gem walked silently holding karana's hand. karana looked like she was struggling to keep up so gem picked her up and carried her on her hip.

Echo walked becide Gem, carring Ivie

Gem surged forward her eyes fixed on the trees ahead of her. There was a break in the trees and a road was through them. Gem stopped right before it.

((haha i had a half day today at school because of final exams...))

Echo saw Gem stop so she stoped

((Same here:) except my school just has a half day on the first Wednesday of every month. Don't ask why because I have no idea.....))
Gem turned to echo, "what do you think we should do?"

"We should continue on and find a car... Ivie needs to be laid down... its not good for her to be moved around..."

Just then Alex honked a horn to an eraser van. "Get in and hurry the erasers arnt happy thyre missing a van. Lay Ivie in the back and Echo stay with her. Gabby take care of Karana. Zach get Rosey." Alex hopped back into the van and screamed "NOW!" At their shocked faces.

[Maddy]

Echo, still stunned, rushed into the back of the van, gently laid Ivie down along the back row of seats. Hopping in after and sitting by Ivie's head

Echo ran her fingers through Ivie's hair wishing she would wake up....

[Sierra]

After everyone got in Alex stepped on the gas a little too hard. "Sorry..." she apoligized before starting again. "Does anyone know how to get to D.C.?"

[Maddy]

"Umm... I dont think thats our biggest worry right now. If i guess correctly, the Erasers will be on us at any moment looking for bird kids and a stolen car....Lets just get the heck out of here."

[Sierra]

Alex shrugged looking at the road going at least 25mph.

"C'mon Alex, you can drive a little faster." Gem said quickly from the passengers seat with karana in her lap.

Gem looked back to see if there was anyone following. "How's everyone doing back there?" She called to the back of the suv.

"Im good, but Ivie hasn't woken up yet...." echo replied

Alex was now driving a liitle bit faster but still under the speed limit.

"Ivie?" Alex asked and pulled over to get gas they had been driving for a while now.

Echo gasps, happy to see Ivie awake in her lab, "Guys, Ivie's waking up!"

[Sierra]

"Weareinacarhowareyoufeeling?" Alex asked quickly.

[Sierra]

"Ok do you want something to drink or ea... electrolytes! Thats what you need!" Alex said before running out of the car and into the small gas station store.

"Don't strain to much okay?." Gem said gently. "You were hurt by erasers but you're gonna be okay now." She made karana stay in the seat and get down under the dashboard. She got out of the car to help Alex. "Lock the doors." She said looking at echo. She strode into the store and walked up to the counter to get a map and ask where they were.

Echo locked the doors, "What do you remember last?"

[Sierra]

"Hey Gabby... what do you think the rest of the flock would want to eat and drink?" Alex said holding stuff for Ivie.

"Get breakfast sandwiches and coffees for everyone. I'm gonna get a map." Gem said walking to the cashier. She asked where they were and asked for a map. They were in colorado and they needed to get all the way to DC.

Echo waited in the car for Alex and Gem with a groggy Ivie in her lap... She tried to keep Ivies attention so she would stay awake

[Sierra]

((Ugg... sorry so tired its not funny my math teacher called on me today and i told her the answer was personification :/))
"Ok..." Alex grabbed every breakfast sandwich and artifical pie she could hold and dropped it my Gem. She then ran and got coffiee for everyone but Karana and Rosey who both got juice.

Gem pushed through the door and started taking the food to the car. She gestured to echo to open just the one door and she gave her the food to distribute. She turned around and walked back in the store to help Alex carry the drinks.

[Sierra]

Alex had spilled one of the coffees so she was talking to the store clerk. When she finally got fed up she inserted a thought that told him she payed for that one and another. Once she got her coffee she strode over to Gem with her mouth hanging open.

[Maddy]

Echo started to hand out the food that Gem brought in

"No problem.." she mumbled, when she finished handing out the food, she tried to get Ivie to eat a little something, hoping she wouldnt throw it back up...

"I'll drive a little bit okay?" Gem said to alex walking back to the car holding two coffees. As she walked near the window, she motioned for echo to unlock the two front doors. Gem opened the driver's seat door with difficulty and slid into the seat. She threw the map to echo.

Gem smiled ,"not yet. We're in a gas station in Colorado."

Echo was sitting in the front seat next to Gem, unfoldig the map and looking at roads they should take

"Everyone settled back there?" Gem asked before backing up the car. "Because we aren't going to have any bathroom breaks for a while."

"I think we are ready to go!" Echo said

[Sierra]

"Lets go!" Alex said looking behind her.

"Sure, I think you should be ok now." Echo said smiling

"Actually I think its on the East... well, according to the map..." she has also spent her life in a dog crate, she didn't know anymore than he did... she was lucky she found out how to read the map which had a compass on it.....

[Sierra]

Alex new nothing about maps, but she was egar to learn. "Echo... how do you read a map?"

"Okay, let's take off. Echo which way do I turn after I get out of here?" Gem asked backing the car up out of the gas station.

[Maddy]

"Gem, I think we take a left up ahead, I'll tell you when to turn. If i'm right, we will have to get to one of the big roads on the map and that will take us far," she turned to Alex, "Sure, I'll teach you to read a map, well, to the best of my abilites..." she smiled and started to tell her what she knew.. starting with the compass

Gem nodded and drove straight on the road.

"Turn left at this intersection up ahead.." she directed, then turned back to Alex, teaching her about the roads and where she think they led..
