Jason couldn't help his small smile, Piper was pretty great like that - even if he hadn't wanted to put her in harms way. She had come anyway. He should have known better - they were better together.

"C'mon Grace!" she said. "Focus here! we got monster butt to whoop!"
"There are more?" Jason asked.
Piper then remembered the promise she'd made to Chiron. She needed to find Nico di Angelo.
"Nico," she whispered. "Jason! Where's Nico?!"
"Not sure. There was a big face-off between him and a monster a little while before. I think the dude got confused with the Cyclopes ability to mimic voiced. He said something about Percy. He might be in the infirmary now with Rachel or out in the woods fighting more monsters."

Piper frowned towards the infermy - it was closer - but she felt a tug towards the woods that felt like a ache. She decided that was the way to go.

"Move it or lose it, Jas!" Piper shouted. This was bad. Really bad. Like falling into Tartarus bad.
Jason finished off the monster, following her. Toiler rolled his eyes toward the lightening heavens - Eos with her rosy arms was rising in the east. At a slower pace he followed the lovebirds.
Piper stopped at the edge of the forest.
"Okay. Okay. If I were a Son of Hades in a panic, where would I be?"

"Nico," Piper muttered, "Nico. Where are you?"

That's when Piper's hurt foot started giving her pain. She was getting black spots in her vision.
She staggered backwards. "Yeah," she croaked.
"No, you're not"
"Jason, I'm fine." She started walking again, staggering slightly.
"Piper."
"I need to find Nico!"
"I need to find Nico!"
"Piper." He rushed forward to catch her as she fell back, dizzy.
"I'll find Nico. Toilers can you take Piper to the infirmary?"
"Thank you! SOMEONE got my name right. And sure, I'll take your girlfriend."
Toilers hailed a Party Pony like he would a cab and they were off.

Piper shot him a death glare. "Find Nico," she pleaded over her shoulder even as they rode away.

Jason scanned the edge of the forest. He couldn't think of where he might find Nico? Then it hit him. Find Rachel and he would probably find Nico.
Trying to wave his way through the sea of orange and bronze, he spotted flickers of red hair running around in circles trying to figure out what to do.
"Rachel!" he shouted and she whipped around looking to see who had called her name. Jason ran up to her.
"Have you seen Nico?"
"I thought he was with you?!"
"Have you seen Nico?"
"I thought he was with you?!"
"Oh Zeus! What now?! We have to find him!"
"I'm trying," said Jason.
Rachel gave him a look that said "I doubt that."
Jason ignored her.
"Where do you think he'd be?" he asked.

"Whoa," Jason said leaping back as a stray slice from a Demeter kids with a sword came wizzing past them.
"Let's look by the Big House!" Rachel shouted. "I heard him muttering something about his destiny."

They went to the Big House

Nico looked at her, but his eyes were bloodred and his mouth was foaming with black.... something

"Nico?" Rachel took a step back.

(Why thank you)Nico moved closer to her, a knife in his hand. His hair turned gray and his sking withered and turned a dark shade of purple....
Jason stepped in front of Rachel, holding his sword in front of him.
Inhumanly -or demigodly - possible he swiped at Jason, leaving a bleeding cut. Jason inspected it, jumping out of reach, and saw it was turning black rapidly.
"Rachel," he said trying to stay calm, "run."
"But what about you?" She askedJason looked at his arm and saw that the whole thing was black and was moving to his abdomen, where his heart would push the venom faster than it was moving before
"I'll be right behind you" he said.
Nico suddenly doubled over, gasping. His eyes returned to normal, his mouth stopped foaming, his skin smoothed itself and tuned to while like always, and his knife clattered to the ground.
