message 51: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I couldn't see them but I could sense them.

message 52: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Ah me and my sisters are all like that except two of us can actually partially see em too.

message 53: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I can sometimes see mists or a lo of the time out of the corner of my eyes. I see blacks mists.

message 54: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Just talking about it gives me the heebie jeebies. My mom says she has dreams and can sometimes sense when my grandmother comes to her when she gets sick pretty badly or if someone in the family needs her or something. And once when I was a much younger kid, my mom said I was able to point out a picture of my grandfather, whom I had never met cause he died before I was even born.

I think there was even a time or two I said there were ghosts in the house we currently lived in. To which my lovely mother used to say the waaaaaaaaayz back when original owner did used to walk around the house and sit on the foot of the bed when I would be in school or in the early mornings. I guess he has finally moved on as she doesn't mention him any more. But yea, I'm definitely glad I grew out of that sort of thing myself.

message 55: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments A lot of the time kids grow out of it. I wouldn't want to grow out of it. I have dreams. Mainly of my dad. When he died about 5 1/2 years ago he came to me in my dreams to tell me be loved me and that he was better.

message 56: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments One of my sisters has dreams and although I accept it, I can't help a little shiver whenever she tells us of her latest dream. Shes normally the one that will "know" when someone has passed or gets the visits. Me and another sister can tell if someone has died in the house. It'll bother me for a while but then leave me alone.

message 57: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments If they get persistent Shari all you have to do is tell them to leave you alone. Demand it and mean it when you say it. That usually helps with me. :)

message 58: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments My mom says the same thing Carlena on the leave folks alone front. But just the very thought still wigs me out too much to be meaning anything.

message 59: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Yeah thats what my mom told me when I was little. I meant in that if it starts to become too much, I'd have them leave me alone. When they bother me, I don't normally care but after awhile I want it to stop

message 60: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Ya especially since you can't do anything about it. DH and Shari I never told my parents. My mom doesn't believe in ghosts per sé and my dad would tell me it's just movies scaring me and that the first rule of TV is it's not real. Doesn't change what happened. Lol.

message 61: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I'm guessing that they never have had those experiences, no!?

message 62: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments My dad did when he was little and they lived in holland. I think he attributed it to him being a child and children make up stuff.

message 63: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments That is unfortunate that they have doubted you Carlena.

message 64: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Such is life. I, luckily, grew up to believe in it and that I wasn't crazy. A lot of kids with psychic gifts and such don't fare as well. A lot are put on meds and are on strict therapy. Granted some are just loopy, but this keeps kids and even adults hiding. I see it as a gift. It's one I'm proud of.

message 65: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Well I love how open you are about it. My family would love hearing about your experiences.

message 66: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Are they into all of that, well besides your sisters of course.?

message 67: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Yea, and you can always share in your adventures with us here. I may not join you on a ghost hunt but I'm curious enough to hear some tales.

message 68: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Well you're safely tucked away from Oklahoma. So you'll be fine, unless I come where you are and do ghost hunting. May have to drag you along ;) lol

message 69: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Oh and Ohio isn't that far away ;) lol

message 70: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Yes. Both parents and grandparents on both sides. My great grandmothers both practiced voodoo and my grandma(paternal) and dad grew up around that so yes we all believe and are open about it

message 71: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments My mom has a aunt that does voodoo type of stuff. Or at least is very familiar with a set of chicken feet from some of the stories I've heard.

LOL, and I'll redirect you to various other haunts for you to hunt away in Carlena. We have the oh so lovely Buxton inn even. I'm sure there are some other parts in Columbus too.

message 72: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Voodoo, I have to say, scares me a little. I can admit that I do not know much about it. I think some of that fear comes from that. plus the little o do know, mainly poppets, are terrifying. I used to be a witch. So I'm no stranger to the occult and things like that.

message 73: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments So long as you come Cherale! :)

message 74: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments No kidding Carlena. Hence I respect all such belief systems just don't bring it towards me.

If you promise to pick me up one of their French Onion Soup, then I can stand outside as you hunt away. :D

message 75: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Nah girl you gotta come in.

message 76: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I actually have been in there once. Mind you during the day time.

message 77: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Well then you gotta go at night now!

message 78: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I've been around it and had my grandma tell me tales.....and I'm still scared of it.

message 79: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Ya. I truly believe there is strong magic in it. And that some of it isn't very good.

message 80: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I'd come but only in the day time. I've never been the scary type but I'm not above fainting if something jumped out at me. There is a first time for everything lol

message 81: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Lol. As long as I have light, I'm generally good. But usually I'm terrified if the dark for like a week after

message 82: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments HAHA and you want MOI going with you after admitting being scared of the dark a week later? Oh no, I'll see if they have that soup to go. Day or night. I'll be waiting for ya with some soup and all the lights on at home Carlena lol.

And definitely no fainting to change my mind either Shari. Can't have the back up calvary passed out. Nope, I'm still not sold ladies. This chicken is happy to bawk all the way home lol.

message 83: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Aww Cherale you're no fun!

message 84: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh I am. But not when dealing with the other side.

message 85: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Lol. Cherale. Well what do you like to do for fun then, since you're such a weenie. ;)

message 86: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Lol! Gotta remember that. No Ghostbuster moments with Cherale

message 87: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Ok, I'm fine with watching the ghostbuster movies. :D Still very much open to learning to skate, I try and break my ass every time. Would love to try blowing glass. But mostly what I currently do for fun is computer game, sims mostly for the moment, reading of course, people watch with my chihuahua, watching my tv shows, talking myself into trying yoga. The simple things in life.

message 88: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I would love to know how to blow glass. Always have! I enjoy the simple life too!

message 89: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I love in line and ice skating but blowing glass yeah sounds amazing. Have you looked into any classes or workshops near you!? Or is a place not close enough cause I know you stay in a rural area!?

message 90: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I can't skate :( I actually broke my ankle skating to my seat real slow on carpet. CARPET!

message 91: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Definitely not close enough. I've been looking for places in Columbus as they are the nearest metro and are pretty big. So figured they would have something. But nope. Maybe on the yoga front though.

I have been ice skating before and tried at our roller rink. But it just doesn't happen. Ass meets floor before I am even out there on the ice or rink all that well.

message 92: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Yup my ass and the floor apparently are in love.

message 93: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh man that sucks Carlena. I've gotten blisters pretty badly the time I went ice skating and I was going super slow and mostly hugging the wall too. So can imagine how badly I'll do on carpet as well.

message 94: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Lol. Ya. I just know that I won't ever skate again. Even if it looks hella fun!

message 95: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh I'm with ya. I haven't since sophomore year of high school. I'll stick to walking, so much cardio in that too I'm sure.

message 96: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Lol I haven't since I was 9. No thank you. Lol. Walking actually is really good for you.

message 97: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments And to say the least soooooo much safer too.

message 98: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments And safety should be a top concern ;)

message 99: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Haha! The both of you are a trip.

message 100: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Lol. I tripped and broke my ankle, good job rubbing it in Shari! ;)
