Monique (kadiya) | 1097 comments A quick look at the first three indicate that all 3 are actually books (or audio books). One has not yet been published and is a placeholder for a work to be published this year. The other 2 are actual works that someone has gone in and blanked out. Others later in the list also appear to be blanked out, but also seem to not be books.

I decided not to investigate further or restore the books blanked out.

Rivka, can you weigh in on this please?

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Do not delete these editions. These are book records which have been vandalized. They need to be restored.

Rosebud (rosebuds) I'm sorry if I listed them in error. I apologize for my wrong assumption.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Rosebud, that's okay, but please do review the librarian manual before you go on. Never remove valid information about a published book, and please enter author names and ASINs in the standard format.

Riona (rionafaith) | 122 comments I actually ran across some of these the other day and reverted them, but obviously didn't get to all of them. Why do authors insist on vandalizing their own records? I don't get it.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments I've got all but two of them now; ironically, it's the two with covers which were entered without authors that I can't find.

I came across some author vandalism once where the author was clearly pissed she'd gotten a bunch of bad reviews, or 1-star ratings, and since she couldn't do anything about that, she vandalized the title and author fields and deleted everything else in each field.

Just curious but when they are reverted (?), as Riona indicted above, are those reviews still there?

Lobstergirl Yes.

Hmm, quite a lot of work.....for no good reason in the first place. Thanks, Lobstergirl.
