I can't phrase properly, how I am looking forward to listen to A Case of Christmas and The Mermaid Murders.

I listened to Blood Red Butterfly yesterday while cleaning and potting some plants. It was the first time back since I read it initally and I must say those two guys have some explosive chemistry going. :-D Funny thing: As it's part of the big novella collection I didn't know which one was next and didn't realise it was BRB until five minutes in or so because I couldn't identify the names. I had imagined them completly differnt. I was scratching my and wondering if this really was a Josh Lanyon story or if the app mixed something up and played the wrong file... :-D

I won't deny when I glance over stuff I've written, I often wonder where the heck I came up with it. ;-D

I listened to A Hundred Thousand Words last weekend. It was lovely. I was reading along in part, but the truth of it was that if I had just been reading I would have become impatient with the narrating MC, but the audio narration really worked for me. No bells and whistles, just heart-felt reading.

I'm still sorta listening to Swordspoint at home, but while on the go yesterday, I started Nightingale by Aleksandr Voinov. This is his big "bird book" project that couldn't get published in print or Ebook because of some issues with Riptide. It's now out in audio. So far, I'm really enjoying it. The narrator is wonderful and the story is engaging!

Still listening to Nightingale and the Dean Koontz book in audio, but just started Harry Potter #2 in audio this afternoon. Just the thing when one spends forever and a day cutting up chicken for boiling and doing other cooking things.

I just finished listening to 'In the Middle of Somewhere' by Roan Parrish. Officially blown away. The book is easily in my Top 5 All Time Favorites. The narrator WAS the main character. I'm speechless.
This reminds me that I never wrote about the great presentation/performance about ''Gaelic Languages and Music'' I went to last September. BTW there is a name for such a presentation/performance in Gaelic but not in English: taisbeanadh.
I learned a lot even though I’ve been very intensively into the matter for some 20 years. For ex. I didn’t know that the usual Gaelic bardic songs contain incredibly complicated rhymes, not only at the end of the verse, but several internal ones. And they still manage to be natural and not «constructed».
The brilliant speaker Alexandra Jones also performed many Scottish Gaelic songs on her harp or just sung them.

I look forward to listening to this one too. Thanks Steve!

Has anyone listened to Mary Calmes A Matter of Time series on audible? Eyes have been bothering me, so I've curtailed my reading. Even eBooks, where I can adjust the font and background color, are a problem. So many books... I'm reminded of a Twilight Zone episode where the henpecked husband emerges from the library vault to utter destruction, like a bomb dropped on the city. But, he can finally read and then he breaks his glasses. *Snort* Sounds like a sunshine and moonbeams story from Ray Bradbury (can you tell I'm not a fan?)

Yeah I have the first ones but then the narrator was changed so I haven't yet tried out the others. But I liked the first ones.

Well. Just left Audible after buying 5 audiobooks. Not sure when I'm going to get time to listen to them all but that surely is a first world luxury problem ;)

Finished up my Loretta Chase series and started Spook Squad by JCP. Today I get to drive to Lawton to visit a customer, so I'll have a nice three hour listening time. In thunderstorms. Yay.

OMG, I was walking to the train station this morning on my way to work, when I heard his voice start to speak, and I nearly squeeeeed out loud. lol.
Susinok, you're so lucky to have a three hour trip to listen to him! Enjoy! And I hope the storms aren't too bad!

That's the worst thing about listening to audiobooks in public: the fact you can't react (or if you do people think you're crazy). Yes, I've been spotted grinning and giggling to myself when I wanted to laugh out loud at funny bits in books. Or sighing at moving scenes. I get so caught up in what I'm listening to that I can forget to be careful.
