Good choice of voice for that particular book!

It is so good. I binge listened to them all this summer. Well except Something like Autumn. I haven't had the heart, I'm too afraid to bawl my eyes out.

I like ZZ Ward too. My NZ-is-very-small Gin Wigmore story: My husband has a friend who's married to Gin Wigmore's brother. New Zealand is a very small place. And everyone, of course, knows someone who was involved with the Middle Earth movies. ;)

Aleksandr Voinov (vashtan) I'm glad Incursion the Audio is getting some love. Gomez nailed it. Of course, he's been around in the genre, and he was super easy to work with - consummate pro.

I actually prefer the Audio over the e-book, and I was never an audio person. :)

Ame | 1744 comments Lonely Hearts is out and it is so good. Narrated by Iggy Toma and even though I love 2 previous books, especially the first one which is a total comfort read/listening I think this one tops the series. Flawed characters but a beautiful story and excellent narration.

Steve Leonard (stevelonard) | 485 comments I'm listening to 'The Shirewode' by J. Tullos Henning. I was admittedly critical of the ending of 'The Greenwode' (too much carnage, very little glimmer of hope), but this second book is glorious. Ross Pendleton (I THINK I got the name right, is an amazingly brilliant narrator. There are so many characters for him to voice and he freaking nails it. Hits it out of the park. I thought Alexander J. Masters (Josh's 'I Spy' series narrator) was the best I'd heard... but this guy is so brilliant. I cannot recommend this series highly enough!

The Piano Guys just posted a new music video set in Scotland! And since Josh was just there, I thought it would be appropriate to post the video here, as it's pretty amazing.

It's a Rachel Platten Scottish cover of "This Is Your fight Song".

for UK listeners, Winter Kill and Male/Male Box set are apparently available as of yesterdaay. They are not yet available on the US site, and that is bizarre.

And so is the fact that Amazon postponed paying August US Royalties until November across the board. All the other royalties showed up as usual, but those are minor compared to the US royalties. As in...a fraction.

If I were cynical, I'd suspect some kind of juggling going on over at Amazon because both of these things are absolutely unheard of in all the time I've been selling books (audio and ebooks) through Amazon and Audible.

The audiobooks (all of them) are available on audible.de too. And naturally I have them now. I am so thankful, that you work so hard, that we can get the books in audio too. For me they are important, because the play a big role in my life. And it's infamous, when amazon and audible don't pay the royalties on time. That makes me very angry!!

Well, they always have before, so I can't exactly be enraged over one screw-up. But it's weird for sure. Of course, I can still cover my payroll, some of those people were saying they needed the money for rent, etc. and that really would be a disaster, one time error or not.

This might be the same version Laura commissioned a few years ago? I never received a copy, so I never heard it. And while I guess I could use a credit on it now...uh no. If I can't stand to sit through my own brief sex scenes, I KNOW I can't sit through that book which is about 40% sex scenes, as I recall. :-D
