Yes, we need to talk to JCP about this. I would die to have those books in audio. Those and The Rifter.

Well, there are others I'd want, but these I want the most right now.

Oh! The Rifter would be wonderful with the right voices. I would love that so much. Also the Irregulars would be fun.

Yes, the Irregulars is definitely on my want list for audio!

I just started A Reason To Believe on my way into work this morning. So far, it's fantastic as an audio book. I like the narrator and I'm in love with the story. Your heart just breaks listening to the main character tell what happened to him. And then knowing this little girl's ghost is leading him to her body, it's rough, you know what's happening, but he doesn't. And you know it's going to hurt when he finds her.

Yeah, I don't want to give too much away, but really, I think I'm still in chapter two, so I can't give much away anyway. lol. I'm really enjoying it.

Understood.I just pay the $9.95 a year, and it gets me my m/m audio fix I can't get in the library...

message 1913: by Becky (new)

Becky Black (beckyblack) I'm listening to the audiobook of The Truth by Terry Pratchett. It's one of my favourite Discworld books and I felt like I waited for it for years after a throwaway reference to the protagonist in an earlier book. I like stories about journalists and newspapers. I've got a journalist character in a story that's in the works. Can't wait to get to him.

Valerie (valerie_c) | 1519 comments I finally finished listening to Written in Red (UF) which was a little underwhelming. It was long and not much happened until the end of the book, and that was pretty predictable IMO.

I started The Dark Tide audio since I need to listen to something I know I will love. :)

message 1926: by Ame (new)

Ame | 1744 comments I'm now listening to Shattered Glass and I really like it. It's such an unconventional romance.... or maybe not even a romance even if it's about two people falling in love....

The narrator does a good job of everything except Peter's voice. I don't like how that is interpreted. But otherwise I like it and as usual I hear notice new nuances I hadn't noticed when reading the ebook.

message 1927: by Ame (new)

Ame | 1744 comments Oh, and Love, Like Water was a nice one even if (view spoiler).... The narrator was really good, appealed immensely to me. I realize that he might not be to everyone's taste I loved the slow drawl of his voice.

A Reason To Believe just keeps getting better and better!

I really like that the investigation into the little girl's death is the main focus of the story. You know both main characters are attracted to each other, but neither one does anything about it until about halfway through the book. They only just kissed for the first time in my listening yesterday. And today, they're still kissing, and got caught by the sister and sister-in-law. Too adorable. No sex yet. I'm liking this.

All the other books I've read recently the MCs jump in bed within the first few chapters.

And the thing that really got me was that the little girl had a stuffed unicorn with a rainbow horn. She'd named him Skittles. Seriously? That's adorable. Really adorable. I want one! lol. She reminds me of the littlest girl in Despicable Me, with her love of unicorns. :-)

Becky Black (beckyblack) Just spotted a tweet from Josh about it and zoomed over to Audible UK to check for and grab it. :D And having done that I'm probably going to save it till the weekend anyway while I continue with The Truth

I haven't read this story before, though I have the ebook waiting on my Kindle. I think I'll let it join the ranks of the ones I did the audiobook first and then read.
