You have wonderful voice, Adrian. I'm about to make a nest under the warm blankets and continue listening to Dangerous Ground in a minute. While down with the flu it's HEAVEN to be able to close my eyes and to listen to you telling Tay and Will's story. Revisiting them this way makes their story to come alive in the loveliest way. Thank you.

Susinok | 5205 comments I am still in the middle (about 5 hours worth) of Strange Fortune. After that I'll get started on the Dangerous Ground series.

Strange Fortune is a 10 hour book and listening to it about 45 minutes a day (commute) is going slowly. It's been to distracted to listen at work.

Becky Black (beckyblack) I'm listening to The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks at the moment. It's the first one I've listened to without having read the book first, so it's a different experience than usual, not knowing what's coming next. Really enjoying it. I've got my theory on who the killer is. Let's see if I'm right. :D

Enjoy, Becky! And let us know if your theory on the killer was correct. :-)

The Darkling Thrush and Strange Fortune were the only Josh Lanyon books I have listened to without having read the actual book first. Both worked well for me that way.

I did the same thing with Ghost Wore Yellow Socks. It was such a great performance.

Becky Black (beckyblack) Heh, my theory was wrong. Which is always the way it should be with a mystery. :D

Really enjoyed that. Wanted to crack the lads's skulls together a couple of times, as you do. ;-)

Have grabbed The Dickens With Love for my next one. Though still doing Monsters of Men too. That's 15.5 hours long, so it will keep me occupied for a while.

I avoid flu shots like the plague. But that's cause I grew up with an alternative nutritionist for a parent who doesn't believe in most of that stuff.

I always would get a cold for two days out of the year and be fine the others. So, I'm not sure what good a flu shot does. Two days in bed, no school, and plenty of good books to read was heaven to me! Lol.

I still don't get sick very often even now.

I would definitely be the coworker who doesn't go with the flow on this one. But that's just me.

All I know is a month later I'm still coughing, and every year for the past four...five? years I get the flu. So my conclusion is, I probably need to get a flu shot. Or live in a bubble for six months out of the year. (Which I kind of do, come to think of it.)

Don't worry about it, Calathea. It's a reasonable thing to do, taking the flu shot. I've had it several times during the years. You can do eeeet. :-)

I didn’t mean to scare you, I get the flu shot every year (it’s mostly a requirement at my work) and usually don’t get the flu, and if I do the symptoms are a lot less severe. Also the majority of us at work who had it are just fine. So I hope that help with your worry over it…

I guess there really isn't anything wrong with Bryce at all, we just always see him from Mark's point of view, and he is perhaps not too reliable? There must be some good in a guy who makes snickerdoodles. (And I am so happy I could use that word in a sentence) :)

Bryce is just one of those really nice guys that in fiction we get bored with easily. He's a bit more of a traditionalist, and Mark makes fun of that. But that says more about Mark than it Bryce.

Yes, ref the discussion in the Catch a Ghost thread. There is a difference in what I think is fun to read about as opposed to what I would like to experience in real life. I love my life, but it would probably make a very boring book. Not to mention, no Romance ;)

Ame | 1744 comments I don't know about Bryce.... he really appears to me as stuck up/high brow?.... I feel like the narrator reads him like that.... which makes me so not like him besides who on earth (view spoiler)
