I'm from central N.S.W, Australia (circa 160 miles west of Sydney). I live in Orange, but was born in raised in Bathurst - famous for its racing track.
have to say I don't have a very interesting backstory. I live in Wales. always have it. it's beautiful but I do love traveling... always good returning home to the valleys. don't plan on it being permanent though haha.
it has its moments haha. but what I really meant is not interesting in the sense that I haven't moved about a lot like many people. except for uni.
still early days though I guess (:
Born in Newton, Massachusetts -- Love Cape CodLived in Youngstown, Ohio for most of my adult life
Am now a "Snowbird" and spend winters in Bradenton, FL
I'm from South Africa. Yes I'm Caucasian and NO there are no lions walking in the streets. That's reserved for the rich areas. ;-)
I am from Campbell, CA. Getting ready to move up north to the mountains to a small town called Georgetown. I love it up there with the Pine trees and nature. Retirement is awesome.
I'm from the south of Sweden. But half of my family is from the Philippines, because my mom is from there.
wow - it's a pretty international group. Good to see some other Kiwis here. I'm from a tiny town called Shannon, in the North Island of New Zealand. But I now live in a beautiful place called Whanganui, just a little bit further up the island. Its very green and very friendly, with a fabulous arts environment.
I liked the idea of nominating a book that helps people move beyond stereotypes about our nationalities. Is there going to be a thread for that? Lots of people automatically think sheep and LOTR when New Zealand is mentioned :)

Well, see now, I think that's OK. :)
I think wine AND sheep :-) and beautiful scenery. I've always wanted to travel to New Zealand and Australia. Someday...By the way, what is "LOTR" Megan??
I live just outside of Rochester NY. It's upstate, not in the big city. We have 4 distinct weather seasons. Fall is beautiful and full of color. The worst weather we get is snow. Nothing like getting snowed in and curling up with a good book.

Hi Donna - Lord of the Rings - the movies were shot here.
I've recently moved from London to Portland, OR. I'm originally from Texas, but I haven't lived there for a long time.
