read it. i thought bloodlines was less action packed but it is awesome in its own way. i used to be a hardcore hater of anything Adrian, but richelle mead made me love him in bloodlines.

I definately agree with you. Rose has a bit more personality then Sydney and it made you really interested in what she was doing. I love Dimitri too so that bumps VA's points up a little

The characters where more humorous and more refreshing and in my opinion the lead characters have more chemistry in bloodlines than they did in VA.

I know right!!!! I had to go rewatch it to make sure it was him. Ugghhhh so attractive.

sooo true, I keep trying to convince people to keep going. I love VA and Bloodlines and need someone to ramble on about it to.

I imagine him as Adrian for Vampire Academy and Nic Wheeler for Bloodlines.

same here!!"
I agree with this. (;
VA all the way!

Sydney is so adorably awesome and a little more relatable. I didn't really like her in the VA but now I totally love her. First she is a little socially awkward.
I loved This series from the first book you become so proud of Sydney during the series because she grows so much.
And I didn't think at first when I read the first book that Sydrian would ever be a good couple but they belong together, not because they are so much alike like Rose and Dimitri but because they are so diffident and alike at the same time that makes them amazing. Can't wait for The Ruby Circle

they are both different in there own ways. But both has forbidden romance, and fighting

From Vampire Academy to Last Sacrifice I was engaged, even when Rose made some dumb decisions (but she's a teenager, it's allowed). Bloodlines and Golden Lily were boring, Indigo Spell could have been better but was dragged down by Sydney's idiocy, Fiery Heart and Silver Shadows were absolutely cringe worthy.
VA had a wonderful supporting cast and I cared what was happening to them; it wasn't always Rose, Rose, Rose. Bloodlines basically drops its supporting cast into the very far background after the first book to focus on Sydney and Adrian only.
Plus Adrian was awesome in VA and has been thoroughly ruined since Golden Lily. It's like he's not even the same character anymore. For shame!

Plot wise, VA is so much better. I just finished the fiery heart and it feels like things are only just starting to come togehter.
Characters, I'm not sure. Before The Fiery Heart, I think I perfered Sydney over Rose because we're both academic nerds, but in The Fiery Heart, she was all about sex, and never, ever in the VA books was Rose ever that bad. Plus, Rose is super bad ass!
Setting: They're both fairly well set. I dont think the settings played much of a role enjoyment wise for me.
Winner: VA

I heart VA, so for me Vampire Academy is the winner here !

VA is full of action and besides romance friendship meanwhile Bloodlines is all full of serious thinking, smartness, adventure and way other level of romance, like who would think Adrian and Sydney will end up together?

And i have to say bloodlines is NOTHING compared to the VA series..
Bloodlines started on a very excited note but it just became silly towards the end books.. It seemed more like a fan fic
Also the connectivity with the characters was more in the VA series, like with rose, dimitri and Lissa as compared to those in bloodlines..
Had huge expectations from silver shadows and ruby circle :(

Read it!! Sure it has a couple things where you're like "Nooooo!" But it the kind where it just makes you want to keep reading to see what happens. Which is exactly what I did and it got much better and ended perfect. It got so interesting at some parts to the point where I was having trouble breathing, literally.
