What do you think is going to be the focus of the third book?

This discussion will contain major spoilers from legend and prodigy.

I finished the Prodigy yesterday and really enjoyed it. At the end of the prodigy we leave the republic not necessarily safe but more stable back in Andens hands thanks to the support of Day and June. We are also leave June considering Andens offer to train as a princep, Keade dead, Eden safe back with Day, Tess still out with the Patriots (as far as we know) and Day getting the news that he's dying.

With the next book set to come out in 2014 ( :( ) we have a while to wait for the next installment of the legend series. So I was wondering what other people thought about the next book and where it will take the characters and the state of the republic.

Personally I think in the third book we might see more focus on the political side of the story possibly Anden making an effort to calm down the hostilities with the colonies or improving the quality of living in the poor districts.I think as Day is dying he might try to find Tess. At the moment I can't even guess whats going to happen with June and Day.

So what do you think?
please comment and share your thoughts.

Love this series :) I really have no idea what will happen!! and the wait is too long!! The only things that I definitely am expecting are: June will take up the Princeps role (being unaware that Day is dying) and this will put her in a powerful position. Day in the meantime will probably seek out the familiarity of Tess. I haven't decided about Anden being trustworthy yet, he truly seems to be, but it almost seems too easy or too good to be true. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a twist in regards to him in the final book (in which case, June, as his princep, will figure it out and be in a position to manipulate things). I think maybe Day is not really dying (fingers crossed) but maybe just a lie being told to him as a way to control him. Can't wait to find out what really happens!

I'm not sure what will happen in Champion, but I have a few guesses. Because of that emotional ending, I think that June will fall in love with Anden and Day with Tess. Now that June and Day are revered public figures, they have a lot more to deal with politically. I'm also crossing my fingers that Day is okay and that he ends up with June in the end.

There is going to be a third book? Thank goodness! I couldn't stand the end of Prodigy..,I was really confused. I was like, "Are they going to be together or not! What is going to happen! There needs to be a third book!" I am now so relieved. Thank you for making this discussion..otherwise I probably wouldn't have known for a while. :D

I have a legit question, Is it ever like legitly made clear that Day's Dad is DEAD and not just missing or anything??

I'd love for the third book to be set decently into the future. Particularly for June, I feel like so far in the series we haven't really seen her in her element, we've gotten glimpses of it but thats it. I want it to be five years or more down the road, the Republic slowly trying to put its self together, I want to see June settled into her role as a Princeps Elect and using her position of power to do good things in the Republic (I'd personally like to her settling into some sort of relationship with Anden as well), Day should be off with Eden maybe with Tess too dealing with his newfound sense of mortality. Really I want to see them adjusting to life just fine without each other, when some sort of turn of events in the government or with the Colonies forces them to work together again. I'd be really interested to see their interaction now that they've had time to mature, and come to terms with who they are outside of the whirlwind hyper stressful events that occurred within the first two books.
