Playing for Keeps
question
Did anyone else think the ending was weak?

I really enjoyed the book, it was a fast read and the dialogue between the characters was funny. However, the epilogue felt rushed and trite. It was almost as if it had been written by someone else. Don't know if I was the only one to feel this way...

Yup, but on a different perspective I find it suitable keeping in mind the character profile of our hero and heroine. The ending was what they were after settling down, easy going and laid back with satisfaction and fun. It was a pretty normal read with no exaggerated drama and broiled up panicking tension so it unfolded in the same tide the story was unfolded. I think it was beautiful. Do you not?
This book and Perfection are two of my favorite books, and I believe they both end the same way at Jason and Hailey's 10th anniversary party. I read Checkmate, but even though the Bradfords where in it, they were not in it enough!!! I miss my Bradfords and want more from them.
Not at all, I got my epilogue - something a lot of authors neglect to do. I loved the series and am so glad there is more to come.
I loved this series so I'd be a little biased. I don't think you'll be able to appreciate the "ending" until you get through the entire series. Each story is linked.
I love her Neighbor from Hell series. Each one gets better and better. I think I love Jason until I read Trevor and then I love Trevor until I read Connor and he's by far my favorite because he's in love with her and has been forever. I also love how each cousin is in the next story. Jason shows up in Trevor's story (btw I think Jason is so funny), then both Jason and Trevor show up in Connor's story. I think her writing is great.

I'm going to read Checkmate in like half an hour, but I so adore Trevor. I think the Bradfords possessiveness of their food and women are funny lot. L

The ending felt strange to me. It's not that I didn't like it but after everything that they went through, I expected something more. Not just the same bantering with added family details of things we missed along the way. It wasn't a bad ending to clarify but it didn't hit me the way the rest of the story had.
I loved the ending.....it was sweet and a way to see them after the kids and that their love was still strong and so was his appetite!! Loved this book!

It had so much potential!!
I was crushed with the ending... but not only with epilogue, with the whole thing after their break up...? It did not have any logic... I just wish things were going in any other direction...

I liked the ending. I didn't find it rushed. I believe it took place on their 10th anniversary? Now, I was not ready for this book to end because the characters were great, and I would have liked to read about the goings on when that first child was born.
