ChrisGA | 62 comments I read MERCHANT'S DAUGHTER and HEALER'S APPRENTICE. Those of you who like romance and historical books will love this one. They are take offs of fairy tales--This one is Snow White. Merchant's daughter was Beauty and the Beast. and Healer's apprentice was sort of Sleeping Beauty.Enjoy.

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4436 comments Not on Bookmooch or paperbackswap and not in my library. I have requested an interlibrary loan so will see if I have any luck with that.

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4436 comments This one just came out in January which is why we can't find it in the library or second hand copies. I will probably be skipping it as well as I have so many other books I need to read. Also received message that my library won't try for ILL because it is too new.

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments It sounds as though many of you are having issues about getting the book. It is tougher with the newer books, I realize. I know that The Tutor's daughter was a January release and yet we read that for the February group read, so it is literally difficult to know which new ones your libraries have in and which they don't. If enough people would like to switch choices of the bo ok, then I would be willing to entertain going with the 2nd choice book which was Iscsariot. I know that this book is in my local library, so that is an option if enough of you want to switch, but I need to hear from you. :) I just go with the book that you guys vote for :). thanks- Cheryl

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4436 comments Iscariot came out in February so same problems as with The Fairest Beauty. We're getting ready to have to pay our property taxes and state and federal income taxes; so no new book buying for me for a while!

Cheryl, I can't get Iscariot either so don't change anything on my account. Seriously, all you can do is try your best with this book selection You asked for nominations and votes. You aren't responsible for whether or not our libraries can get the book. It is our choice whether to participate with that particular book. Basically, there are two and a half books a month so if we can't do one, we probably can do one of the others. You all are doing a fine job with this site. However, we might make sure when we are nominating to alternate new and older books for the sake of those of us who depend on the library or kindle. Most of these were January releases. However, my library had Tutor's daughter-so go figure.

You all enjoy the book. I'll be reading NOT A SPARROW FALLS and just finished PRODIGAL GOD.

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4436 comments I agree with Chris. We won't always be able to do all the books for one reason or another. Don't change what was picked. We all will do those that we can and enjoy sharing and discussing them with the group. I will look forward to reading this some time down the road.
