विकास 'अंजान' (vikas_nainwal) | 1217 comments yeah i have read his Burial at sea and train to pakistan...Both were good books.....

Muddle head (adic) | 4646 comments I've read both Train to Pakistan and Delhi. While the former is a serious work of fiction with real incidents and characters interspersed, the latter is a quirky novel. It talks abt a Delhi of the past and the present in two interwoven threads, the past is definitely interesting (he always presents an out-of-the-box perspective) while the present is humorous (quirky humor).

Pragya Maheshwari I have read Train to Pakistan and fount it amazing...and looking at the reviews want to read Delhi as well

Shivani Gupta | 817 comments I have read Train to Pakistan some years back, don't exactly remember the story, but K.Singh is fab writer. I have read some of his articles, his sarcasm is at the very best.

Rohan Goplakrishnan The intensity with which this guy clearly describes moral dilemmas/paradoxes is so beautiful, ive never come across someone who portrays choices one makes in life in such an intricate way

Gagandeep (gagansaraf) I am currently reading 'In the company of women'. This is my first from Khushwant Singh. No doubt he was famous

Rohan Goplakrishnan I'm looking for a book by this guy with an emotionally supercharged ending along the lines of Train to Pakistan. Any suggestions guys?

Lit Bug (Foram) | 1354 comments Train to Pakistan, and "Sahibs Who Loved India" (A collection of accounts of Britishers who lived in and loved India - not too impressive, but definitely worth recording as an important piece of history

Abhisar Singh | 17 comments Have read Train to Pakistan, Company of woman, Delhi, Burial at Sea, I shall not hear the nightingale, Paradise and some Our favourite short stories and loved them all the only issue is the "Sex ka Tadka" turns obscene in most of the cases and has no significant contribution to the story line.

Israel Hands | 1 comments Have read The company of women and Train to Pakistan.. The ending passages of the latter is great and very philosophical. He kind of makes a mockery of Nehru's speech "the tryst with destiny" by sort of comparing the fates of the people of the subcontinent at that point of history. Nice read

Great writer, poor thinker he was.

Ratan Kaul | 29 comments I had read "Train to Pakistan" and some of his other books earlier. Recently read his autobiography, "Truth, love and a little malice". There is no doubt that his writings are quite engaging and his style is unmatched, though at times he has been quite controversial.

Amrina | 12 comments I read his short story - The portrait of a lady which was fantastic and recently, Khushwant Singh - on women, sex, love and lust which was quite prosaic and narcissistic.

Bhaskar Sharma | 8 comments Khushwant Singh's career struggle is much interesting and inspiring than any of his stories.
