Proved my point about what? How I don't think Clare is a genius? Sure, if that's what you want. You want it to be unproductive? Then it wouldn't be a good discussion, if that were the case. :/

no..no..no.. hahha :) before you said that you disagreed with me so prove the thing that you did not agree with... and no i dont want to be unproductive.. i was referring to the fun discussion we could have.. it would be fun but nothing productive would come of it.... like listening to music or watching tv.. its fun but unproductive

Okay... Well here goes. I disagree with the whole "they are both exceptionally brillant characters and Clare is a genius and angel to let Tessa and the readers have both ways". I think that they are bland characters (with the exception on Jem), Will being a recycled personality of Jace. Mr. Bad Boy, jerk who has a bad past and therefore treats everyone like sh*t but gets away with it just because of his sob story. The vast majority of YA books have this type of character as the love interest, so I don't think he's brilliant or exceptional. Same with Tessa and the entire cast almost. Dumb girl who is really "super special", yet is completely useless, and who also happens to be the "true love" of the two super sexy guys, despite having absolutely no redeeming qualities about her. -_-
I just- no. I do enjoy reading the book, but only for Jem (bless his heart), and that's it. I don't even know what the plot is of these books because it's so focused on the love stuff. Ugh, anyway, that's all my opinion. *shrug*

I must say, your whole reasoning in regards to disliking this series has finally put in persepctive just why I have a love/hate relationship with the whole shadowhunter fandom. I read them, because I'm a devout fan and I must see what happens at the end, but both stories are so similar in their context that I just didn't know how to put everything into words. You've done that for the infernal devices for me. So thank you ;3

Thank you, haha. I do too. I like to see both sides of the story as well. I'm glad I was able to help someone! I try not to be too negative.

Ok, so before I had even started the ID series, I accidentally read somewhere about James Herondale, who is Tessa and Will's child. And I also read that Jem is Brother Zachariah. I was so furious that I cried, and I thought that I had ruined everything about this series! But as I read the first two books, I realised there's more to the story than just the love triangle between Tessa, Will and Jem, like what Tessa is, and how do all the characters of the ID connect with the ones in the MI. So do you guys think I have been completely spoiled, or there's anything else in CP2 that will surprise me? Please don't spoil me anymore, just tell me if there's anything I don't no! I am so mad I wish I could turn back time :(

I am saying that you should read more because there is way more to the story then that. Moreover, I don't want to ruin it for you though there is so much more to their love triangle as well. So if you were willing to heed my advice then read it since it is so exciting that you would feel like crying and laughing at the same time. Since Cassandra Clare's is so lovable as well as the connections made to TMI.

**SPOILER ALERT**
I know Jem is going to end up with Tessa anyway after Will dies (damn it all to hell. Oh, and please correct me if I'm wrong). I want so much more for Jem. He truly is a special character, but is in love with someone who is unworthy of him. He deserves someone better than Tessa, someone who isn't panting after his best friend. -_- I hate how Clare let stupid Tessa have both of them. Dude, really? I don't know, but knowing those spoilers infuriated me. She just couldn't let greedy little Tessa have only one guy, huh?
Anyway, that's my opinion, lol.
