Jet lag is killing me. I finally fell asleep at 5 am the night before last and I couldn't sleep last night (at all) and now I am so so so exhausted! :'( I need to stay awake until at least 10 tonight so that I can sleep the whole night and be back on track. May the force be with me SERIOUSLY!!!

I keep my fingers crossed, Vanessa, I do hate this feeling, when I'm totally sleepy and cannot go to sleep because of work or other obligations.
Yes Kristie it previewed today at a big press schmooze :-) I like it; it keeps with the theme of the other 2 books. This one the circle's a wave. I have a strong feeling this book may be one of our Main Reads next year; it will probably be at least a top runner up.

@ Karlee: Divergent is GREAT!!!

I'm meeting friends tonight, visiting the parents tomorrow and then have a lunch date on Sunday.
Hot? I hope not! I'm not a fan of heat ....
We're spending the weekend at Alton Towers (Theme Park); day in the park, staying over at the park's hotel for dinner and drinking and then spending the next day in the Spa :)

Alton Towers is great!! I'm jealous of the Spa! That sounds like a lot of fun. When I read hen weekend, my immediate thoughts were Blackpool or Spain!
Ha no, the Hen is Alton Towers mad .... she must go at least 18 times a year (she has a season pass!)

That's really great :)
The female equivalent of a Bachelor Party (which over here is called a Stag Weekend), I can't recall what your female version is called?
Lynn - Have fun on your hen weekend!
What do you guys think -> I'm doing an A-Z challenge. You know how the word "the" at the beginning of a title doesn't count? Well what do you guys think about the word "to". Does it count? I'm wondering if To Kill a Mockingbird is a T or a K. I initially put it down as a K, but now I'm not sure. Anyone have any opinions?

No, thank you. I actually had a more difficult time with the K. I just didn't want to use that book, then realize it was actually a T. I think I have the whole alphabet done now! Well, planned, not read yet. I'm excited to read To Kill A Mockingbird. It's one of those books that everyone else seems to have read in high school.
To Kill a Mockingbird, in any alphabet challenges I have been in has always counted as a "T" book. Usually the only words that don't count are "The" and "A". It is definitely " To Kill A Mockingbird, not "Kill a Mockingbird".
I have to second Cathie, I would place it under /T/. If you need help with a /K/ book I'm sure I could come up with a few!! Do authors count or just the title?
Kristie, I am going to read Kushiel's Dart
. That's a "K" book :-)Want to do a buddy read? It is a big book - 1015 pages!!
I just got a new bookshelf to add my new books on. I am so excited. My furniture may not match now but my books have a home. <3
I'm also reading next month Kept in the Dark
~ another "K" book. Another possibility of a buddy read? :-)
@ Cathie - Thank you for the recommendations! I'll definitely look into those. :) I may do a buddy read for one, but I don't know when. I've signed up for almost all of the ones we have scheduled. lol I may be a little overzealous.
I haven't read it Brittany but any book that has been banned is a book that begs to be read. It's the rebel in me and the fact that all thoughts need to be shared, not just the popular or status quo.Have you read Farenheit 451? It's about the burning of books and how it all started with censorship of those we didn't like, didn't want to hear from, topics we didn't want to discuss, etc., and how freedom of speech and thought gets trampled.
Enjoy Annie on my Mind :-)
@ Cathie - Thanks. :) Those are the two that I started with, then I thought the other two looked good too. Maybe I'll do the challenge again next year so I can read more of the books that I want to.
I do at least one alphabet challenge a year Kristie, just to read so many interesting books :-). This year I am doing 2 alphabet challenges; one general a-z and one in which you have to go by author's last name and in order of the alphabet - that one's a real challenge; I'm only up to M so far and I had hoped to be almost done by now.
I'm doing the book title only this time. Some of the challenges are really difficult.
I'm also not doing in order. I'm just trying to get one book from every letter. I've thought about trying to do it in order though. Maybe next time.

Doing them in order is frustrating; I've read a lot of books this year and would have my challenge finished by now, if it weren't for the fact they have to be done in order. I got hung up on an I author and a K author and had too many other books for other club reads to get to these ones for a couple of months. I don't know if I'll do another alphabet challenge in order again...maybe book titles would be easier.
Kristie, another K book you could choose to read is The Knife of Never Letting Go
. It's suppose to be quite good.
Oh that looks good!
I thought of a couple others, but I wasn't sure:
The Kite Runner
The Kitchen House
Kill Decision (which was a Goodreads award nominee last year)
King of Thorns (also a nominee, but I'd have to read Prince of Thorns first)
So far I'm leaning towards The Knife of Never Letting Go now!
Also, authors in alphabetical order sounds incredibly difficult!

If you want to read The Knife next month with someone let me know ;-).Yeah, it is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be...I mean, come on, how many millions of books are there, and how many thousands of authors and I can't get through an author alphabet in order!! lol
Kristie, I'm also reading The Kitchen House next month too, so buddy read offer stands with that one as well:-)

Bit late to the party but wanted to put my two pennies worth in anyway ... to me that would definitely be a T, not K.

Kristie, the a-z challenge sound very interesting, is it a challenge you are doing through goodreads or on your own? I am new to this club, so I had never heard of it.
Hi Michelle :-). I'm not Kristie, but in answer to your question about a-z challenges: There are many clubs on Goodreads that present challenges to their members in addition to the monthly reads; some of these clubs have alphabet challenges.Kristie, will have to let you know if the one she is doing is in connection with a Goodreads club or if she is doing it on her own :-). I'll butt out now, lol
Hi Michelle - I'm doing it through a different group on Goodreads (Fiction Fanatics), but I may do it again on my own. I've seen the A-Z challenge done with book titles or authors names. They're a lot of fun. Our challenge is a one year long challenge, but some people do them a lot faster.
