(sorry for being so impatient .. )
I am going to, Janina. I usually do those closer to the new year. I’ll probably get to it in another week or so.

Just thought I'd mention that the 2018 challenges have all been posted and are ready for you to start planning!

You can mark books read and not be considered cheating. It is a record for you and you are free to do it so it make sense for you.

I'm with you, Connie! I am going to be 68 in January, God willing, and I marked some books when I first began that I had read years ago and didn't remember dates. Some of those I'd like to re-read and see how I would rate them now.
Funny, Connie! Not cheating at all. I added a few books that I read before I joined Goodreads too. I certainly don't remember the dates, just that I read them.

I have all the books I got from AS on my kindle in Overdrive. I noticed I have one title on my IPhone and am listening to it. How do I get the others into Overdrive on my phone? I am not sure how I ended up with one there. Did I download that one in both places? I log into Overdrive but the shelves are not the same.
Any advice?

That's because the Choice Awards challenge runs for two years, Lynn. It includes the books you read last year as well as the books you'll be reading this year. So, by January first, the counter assumes you should be halfway there. Which means, it thinks you should have read 20 books already.
Don't worry too much about the "behind schedule" part. It really only matters if you think you'll be able to read the number of books you set your goal for by the end of the year. So, for you, you would need to read an additional 34 Choice Awards books by the end of December. If you think you can do that, then you're all set.

Thank you...

About the challenge, unfortunately we cannot enter it for you. I would gladly do it otherwise.
I hope it works better in the future.

Maybe it's something to do with our names, because I've been having trouble too! lol
More seriously, I don't really have any solutions or explanations for you but I have been having some trouble getting into this group over the past few days .... just thought you might want to know you're not on your own.
Hopefully it's just a temp glitch (I'm guessing it is, because there are times when I can get in) and it will stop doing it soon.

That's so strange. I poked around a bit and can't see anything wrong with your membership or links. As Lynn said, it must be a Goodreads glitch. Hopefully, that's all settled.
As for the challenge, it automatically links to whoever does the signing up, so maybe try it again? Sorry we can't be more help.

I hope your problem rectifies itself soon. I feel for you.
How cool is this! This was shared by Goodreads on Facebook and our group is in it!

It is still my favourite, and to be honest, the only I follow now with so much work to do in RL. Thanks for all your work and involvement!!

Weird, I don't receive any notifications from goodreads (hence my late reply). Is this happening to anyone else? :S

Happens to me occasionally. It just happened the other day and lasted all day, then they poured in all at once with a notification for each comment. It was a bit of a mess.

I finished a book and did my review, but I reviews the wrong copy and so it was a duplicate.
I was able to delete the duplicate, but I screwed up the READ date and now I have that I read it twice. I want to adjust that so I deleted the second read by date, but it doesn't have the first date.
HOW do I delete a "status update"? I want to have record of when I put it on the TBR, so I don't want to just delete the book and start over.
Any help would be appreciated.
Go to your review and then click edit, which is at the top right.
The next to the dates there is a X beside each date, which you can delete whichever one you want.
I've noticed that sometimes it doesn't always register and you have to do it numerous times before it does.
